A chemistry teacher who concocts stories, a runner who races against herself and a selfpublished author who writes for peace! Caron Asgarali is an author, an inspirational speaker, book developer, educator and a survivor of gun violence. When not behind the desk, Caron advocates for peace as the founder of Project RARE, a registered not-for-profit organization. Caron wrote her memoir From Lion to Lamb (now being retitled Bulletproofed Faith) and a follow-up book (Bounce Back Better) after being shot during an attempted robbery in 2013. In 2020 she conceptualized and launched the first book in an anthological inspirational series of true stories from everyday heroes – the Hot Cocoa on a Rainy Day Series. The third book will be launched later in 2024. She was editorial assistant for Mr Winston Dookeran’s most recent professional publication. She worked with Parasram Ramoutar, a diaspora journalist, to develop, edit and publish his autobiography and published several books for other authors under the Project RAR
