From a young age, Shaun McAndrew was destined to ascend to achievement. Her Dad was a teacher, and her mom was a stock broker, instilling in her both a desire to learn and grow. Her dad always pushed her to be a high achiever, teaching her the importance of standing her ground and realizing her own value.  As a result, she was an accomplished student, which set the stage for an upward trajectory.  After school, she immediately entered Naval service, launching an impressive 27 year career as a helicopter pilot and Commanding Officer, during which she led a squadron of 500 people and 17 aircraft, producing an average of 200 qualified students annually.  Her squadron also received the Ellyson Award for the most efficient production squadron in the Navy.
