Dr. Nancy Pearson is a nonprofit leader and local government evangelist. She became a convert after moving to her chosen home city of Portsmouth, New Hampshire where she became engaged and began contributing. She volunteered, was elected to city council, and pursued her PhD, where she conducted a national multi-city study on participation with local government. Nancy wants people to develop 'radical curiosity' about where they live, and believes that becoming civically engaged is empowering and sexy!
