Say HiADVANTAGES IN GIVING Many times we look at some Christian injunctions and feel that only the mature Christians are meant to do them. When it comes to giving, we say within ourselves, “that is meant for the rich and not for us who are struggling to make ends meet.” I have good news for us today that we do not have to be rich to give and we do not have to be poor to be stingy too.Paul wrote in Acts 20:35 quoting Jesus by saying “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Let us quickly examine some reasons why ALL Christians should imbibe this noble practice.1.Giving obeys God’s command (Luke 6:38).2.Giving submits to God’s Lordship. Our submission is really tested in the areas where our own nature and situation make obedience more difficult. Money is one of those areas.3.Giving exhibits God’s heart (James 1:17).
