Dr. Zachary Winkelmann is a professor and clinical education coordinator at the University of South Carolina. USC has done something interesting as the educatin side of athletic training transitioned to a professional masters degree. USC actually offers both (for the time being) in terms of a post-profesional masters as well as the professional masters. In this episodes we talk to Dr. Winkelmann about what he has seen in the transtion to the masters degree and the impact it has had on athletic training eduation and also athletic trianers getting into the profession so far.  We get into some of the details and nuance of how it seems to be setting up students to find jobs they want and that are setting them up for success early on in their career.
