In a debating and argumentative culture, how can we defeat distraction from the truth? 1: Be mastered by the Word of God. We are called to study the Word and take care of our soul by doing so. Hold tight to biblical right hand beliefs (Ephesians 4:4-6). Until the Word is changing you, you will look for truth in other things. 2: Pursue consecration in a culture craving compromise. “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth,” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬-‭25‬. 3: Test your heart for tenderness and truth.
