Comic Book Breakdown

The year is almost over - but our journey through Fantastic Four v3 isn't even CLOSE yet. So I figure it's time to stop for a moment, breathe, and see how ya'll are doing. 

Valeria Von Doom claims to the daughter of Sue Storm-Richards - and DOCTOR DOOM. But such a claim is not one easily accepted by the Fantastic Four, much less Sue. Can the FF accept this possible family member? Then, the bounty hunter Bounty has fallen in love with the Thing - but he doesn't feel the same. So she nurses her broken heart with alcohol, does some fighting with Spider-Man, AND gets involved in a gang dispute. Join me as I breakdown Fantastic Four issue 22 and Peter Parker: Spider-Man Annual 2000.

In Fantastic Four issue 20, the Ruined have returned to take Paris once more. Then, in issue 21, Valeria Von Doom arrives at the FF's home, Bounty arrives to capture Caledonia, the Bacchae show up to kidnap ALL of them, and Hades makes a play to rule the New York City Underworld. It's a lot, honestly.

The Fantastic Four are Shadow City's MOST WANTED - and only Mr. Fantastic knows why in issue 18. But even if he can save his family from a complex virtual reality, they're still lost in the Negative Zone in issue 19. Can the dread Anihilus, the living death that walks, finally destroy his long-time foes - or is he their ticket home?

The Fantastic Four are lost in the Marvel Multiverse and their first stop pits them against the Kree Avengers, deadly alien bugs, and in the hands of a dangerous sorceress in issue 16. Then, issue 17 sends us to Shadow City, where the heroic Lockdown and his partner, Rosetta Stone, track down the most dangerous criminals of all - the Fantastic Four?!? 

Ronan the Accuser has kidnapped the Fantastic Four to the moon and enslaved the Invisible Woman - but to what end? The rest of the team needs to find out, but they'll need to pass through visions of the future first, as well as the armored Avenger - Iron Man! Marvel's first family return to the Marvel Universe! A new creative team and threats both known and new join the World's Greatest Comic Magazine as I breakdown the third volume of Fantastic Four, issues one and two. 

Hows you doing? I take a break from breaking down comics to talk about mental health, how things've been, and some of the collections that I've been assembling lately. 

Gully learns the tragic past of her half-brother, Sebastius, as Battle Chasers comes to a close. Knolan returns to Capital City, a wounded Monika finds safety with Garrison, and we look to the future as I examine Nightwar, the 2017 video game sequel to the Battle Chasers comic.

Garrison is offered a new job by King Vaneer - one that Red Monika can't afford him turning down. Meanwhile, Gully is stalked by the corpse-gathering monster, the Borrower. But why did Sebastius Nefar unleash such a beast - and why does he want Aramus' gloves? Join me as I breakdown Battle Chasers issues 7 and 8.

Gully and Calibretto fight a monstrous djnnn, Knolan battles the magical Cranius, and Garrison finally faces the monk Brass Demur as the Battle Chasers defend Capital City in issue 5.
