In the Helen Hayes Theater did Douglas Carter Beane a stately pleasure musical did decree... This week, we're talking Xanadu!!! It's fun! It's campy! It's on roller skates and it isn't about trains!!!! Find out just what made this plucky little musical have so much heart.

In Act 2, we discuss the mystery, how it gets solved, how the audience and cast react to said revelations, and what all happens after that! And we find out what happened to the cast! (there are two stories that aren't the happiest...) And now for the finale *gavel* of the Mystery of Edwin Drood!!!

1986 was a big year for musical theater history. The Mystery of Edwin Drood premiered in the Delacorte theater as part of Shakespeare in the Park before making it's move to Broadway and winning the Tony for Best Musical. Not bad for a show based on a book that was never finished!

Sally, Buddy, Phyllis, and Ben came to this reunion to relive the happy times of the past. Only, the past wasn't as happy as they remember and now their relationships and self images are put to the test and put on full display in a huge Zeigfield follies routine called Loveland, before it all comes crashing down.

Matt and David start off with Stephen Sondheim's opus, Follies. In Act 1, we meet the main characters, get a basic understanding of how they interacted in 1942, see their relationships fall apart in modern day, and watch a parade of amazing performers celebrate their past performances, one last time!
