Creatively Disrespectful

Today, I found myself breaking apart the good, bad, in-between and down time that comes with this business owner, hyper-creator life.  There's layers.... and sometimes, peeling back those layers means that vulnerability is seen as a guard dog instead of a badge of protection as it often is. 

Today, we're starting off the week with the motto of "Use Your Words". It pays to not only be honest with others, but most importantly, yourself and your placement in the world. 

Its not over. Now, we will talk briefly about the house, my takeaways from being in Charleston a brief amount of time and what it looked like to come home. 

.....Its time to unpack!!! This trip took and gave so many things that I had to split it between two episodes.  In this first one, we're going to talk about some of the lead up to the trip, all the gifts the FAA gave and rolling into the first service like a zombie.  Gear up, this one is all storytime. 

Well, we are embarking on a new set of journeys together. As I'm driving around, I often think about things so here we go....

Its that time again.... when I sit and reflect on where I've been, what I've learned, who I am and what I want next to look and feel like.  The 10 of 2022 1. Grief Is An Ever Changing, Ongoing Beast. 2. Boundaries Are Real. 3. It’s Okay To Not Be Okay, The “Strong Black Woman” is An Adage That’s A Fallacy & Mental Health Is Real. 4. Don’t Worry About If They Come…..Build It! 5. Just Because An Experience Is Not Your Own, Doesn’t Mean It Doesn’t Exist. 6. If You See Something, Say Something 7. Past Traumas Will Re-Surface When You Least Expect It. 8. It Is Important To, Not Only, Learn Your Love Language But That Of Others. 9. Evolving With The Times Doesn’t Mean You Have To Sacrifice Your Authenticity 10. The Pursuit of Happiness Comes On The Cornerstone Of The Juxtaposition Of Peace.

Sometimes, you have to sit with certain parts of yourself to understand what is happening fully.  I have not been the best at choosing people to be in my life that actually look out for the quieter portions, but I'm starting to feel like that whole thing is meant to be interpreted and defined as life goes along.  I have to find my way back... to me.  Cause that's who is about.....now.

As we further dive into the layers of significant change in this lifetime, it was necessary to bring up the moments that define us....and how some of that healing process comes back around full circle. What does it all look like if you put all of your effort into you???

What does it look like to take ownership of your person? I have often wondered if the places I have landed in, at times, have been crafted specifically for my journey and my experience. I say this because I know 1000% that I would not be who I am and continue onward to who I am becoming if these things didn't occur.  Art by the amazing GDBee

Its the last day of the 10 in 10 and somehow, along the way, I became a different person again. So, if we keep this momentum going, this year is going to close out on an interesting note. 

Today, we're talking about self care, starting the new season off the right way, my newfound love of The Challenge and the adventure that lies ahead. Happy #nationalpodcastday! 

We had to continue the story which involves 14 hrs of driving, Motherly love and all the shenanigans. 

Time to break apart one of these work adventures that comes with a few lessons and random madness.
