    David Pierre was raised in a very large Christian Haitian family. In a family of 6 brothers, he is the youngest and was mostly picked on but also the most loved. He is very humorous and passion driven. As he grew up he saw the need in the community and developed a strong burning desire to be a huge help and voice for his people. He took action by creating an orphanage and started an association for the disabled which led him to become the National Volunteer Director for the Special Olympics. As a result of this much involvement, he was able to help many people in his community and became the community leader. Fast forward to the present, he has now made America his home, has a beautiful family, and has started a business called Lavni Products with the sole purpose of impacting Haiti and hopefully other underserved countries.  In this episode, Jenny and David talk about courage, strength and what it means to face our fears head on for our maturity and the societal impact that comes with it.

    Praise Santos is the founder behind the photography studio ComePlum and has a love for puns, pretty things, and people. She lives in San Francisco where she does silly dances to loosen up female entrepreneurs during their Personal Brand photoshoot, builds her Google map locations of colors around the city to create eye-catching content for brands such as Lululemon and Adidas, and leads workshops for organizations such as the Golden State Warriors and BEI Hotel. Her photos have been featured in Vogue, Forbes, and the San Francisco Chronicle.  Praise encourages creatives to use their skills for positive impact. Her project Ethical Weddings won a 20 On The Rise award by the 60,000+ member Rising Tide Society.  When she's not photographing, teaching, or playing with her pup Bubs, she tries to play Chance the Rapper songs on her ukulele.  In this episode, Jenny and Praise talk about setting boundaries and standing strong by them to find a balance in following our passion and building sustainable personal brands.

    Holly Williamson, the founder of The Women of Pader Uganda, resides in Austin, Texas with her husband. She is a mother of two boys and a grandmother to two grandchildren that she adores deeply. Holly first visited Pader in 2013 where she felt an immediate connection and call from God to help the women restart their lives after a 20-year war in Northern Uganda. In 2017, Holly converted the organization into a 501c3 nonprofit and has created sustainable, empowering programs to help the women and the community in Pader. Through taking a leap of faith and following God's call on her life, Holly has a beautiful story of God's faithfulness and provision to care for His people.  In this episode Jenny and Holly talk about successfully building good relationships by putting into perspective the partnership paths taken and the cultural setting of the different communities one is venturing in to avoid help turning to hurt.

    Matshona Dhliwayo said," When the wind blows, a stubborn tree breaks but an intelligent one bends." In this week’s episode we are revisiting episode 28 of season 2 with Kevin Mbogho and talking about how to walk through the storms in our lives. There will be storms in our lives with the wind blowing strong enough to almost break us but we need to anchor ourselves on something strong that can hold us down. Trusting in the Lord and grabbing a hold of His hand tightly is an assurance of a breakthrough. Be present while walking through your storm and intentionally adjust your mind to believe you are enough to conquer it all. As we listen to this episode and work out ways to weather our storms or get the drive to push the ones we have already put in place, let the word 'surrender' not be in our dictionary, only 'fight back'. Let's be inspired to put our fight song on and forge ahead without forgetting to vulnerably acknowledge that it's okay not to be okay.
