ON THE MORNING OF JAN. 21, 1998, Bob Vieira and his wife, Lori, awoke to  gunshots outside their San Jose home. Bob Vieira jumped onto the  balcony outside his bedroom in nothing but his underwear. There, in  bleary-eyed disbelief, he saw a line of San Jose police officers wearing  what looked like riot gear. One held a pair of bolt cutters to his  chain-link gate. Motionless on the ground, inside the fence, lay their  10-year-old dog, Sam, whose blood had already begun to flow toward the  house. Vieira's other pet, a bull mastiff and German shepherd mix, Dog,  was running away from the gate. It was 1965, headed back to the U.S.A from an annual trip to the  bullfights in Sonora, Mexico, Don Chambers and his friends stopped at a  local Cantina. When they entered, a patron asked the waitress, "Who are  those guys?" The waitress answered, "That's DC and his American  Bandidos" - hence the name. In March of 1966 THE BANDIDOS MOTORCYCLE  CLUB was born. The Houston Chapter or Mother Chapter was soon followed  by the Southwest Houston Chapter. A year later, riding back from that  annual trip as full patch Bandidos, a problem occurred with the  Federales in Mexico and a Bandido "Sunshine" was killed. He was the  first Bandido killed and that was the last time the Bandidos went to  Mexico. Havoc in Hollister /Motorcyclist Horde Stages Riotous Rally event  that occurred at the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA)-sanctioned  Gypsy Tour motorcycle rally in Hollister, California from July 3 to 6,  1947. On July 3, 1947, festivities in Hollister began. But as  previously mentioned, the popularity of motorcycles had grown  dramatically and this rise in popularity caused one of the main problems  of this event: massive attendance. Around 4,000 motorcyclists flooded  Hollister, almost doubling the population of the small town. They came  from all over California and the United States, even from as far away as  Connecticut and Florida.Motorcycle groups in attendance included the 13  Rebels, Pissed Off Bastards of Bloomington, the Boozefighters, the  Market Street Commandos, the Top Hatters Motorcycle Club, and the  Galloping Goose Motorcycle Club. Passed in 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) is a federal law designed to combat organized crime in the United States. It allows prosecution and civil penalties for racketeering activity performed as part of an ongoing criminal enterprise. Such activity may include illegal gambling, bribery, kidnapping, murder, money laundering, counterfeiting, embezzlement, drug trafficking, slavery, and a host of other unsavory business practices. To  convict a defendant under RICO, the government must prove that the  defendant engaged in two or more instances of racketeering activity and  that the defendant directly invested in, maintained an interest in, or  participated in a criminal enterprise affecting interstate or foreign  commerce. The Devil Dolls MC is an all-female biker sisterhood that promotes and  supports the empowerment of women. This organization prides itself on  having a very diverse membership. Clarence “Smitty” Smith, the leader of the notorious biker club The  Outlaws, is accused of a quadruple homicide in Fort Lauderdale. He beats  the rap for the homicides, but is sentenced to death for car bombing of  a federal witness in New Orleans. On appeal, Smitty is exonerated from  death row, proving his innocence beyond question. But the Feds aren’t  done with Smitty – under the RICO act, they charge Smitty with all the  murders in Ft. It’s amazon when you have motorcycle clubs that started out as bicycle clubs still in existence today. Some of these clubs are the Yonkers MC – San Francisco MC- Oakland MC- Pasadena MC. The problem with most people is they don’t know or  don’t care what a true 1% motorcycle club is. It isn’t a club that is  given the 1% diamond, It isn’t a club that just starts up and throws a  diamond on. The Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club is one of the Midwest and Rocky  Mountain Region 1% Clubs. It’s founding Niwot, Colorado in 1966 by Bruce  “The Dude” Richardson. Leonard Loyd Reed, the iconic leader, known as  JR, became the club’s President in the late 1970s and held this role for  over 20 years. For those who talk about clubs coming together, it was  JR Reed who worked to start the first Coalition of Clubs in Colorado. JR  Reed was a man of intelligence and was very wise. Maurice Boucher (born June 21, 1953) is a Canadian convicted murderer,  reputed drug trafficker, and outlaw biker—the former President of the  Hells Angels' Montreal chapter.[1] Boucher led Montreal's Hells Angels  against the rival Rock Machine biker gang during the Quebec Biker war  (French: Guerre des motards au Québec) of 1994 through 2002 in Quebec,  Canada. In 2002, Boucher was convicted of ordering the murders of two  Quebec prison officers in an effort to destabilize the Quebec Justice  system, and is currently serving three life sentences in a Canadian  prison. In the 1980s, Ottumwa, Iowa, was a struggling city with residents facing  a myriad of issues, including unemployment. A combination of wanting to  get rich and not being able to stop led Lori Arnold to become one of  the most notorious drug dealers in the Midwest during that time. The Property of Patch started coming into the scene Approx late 1950's  or early 60's. It's not known exactly what year it came into existence.  One thing that is known, 1% clubs started the practice. Today a ton of  clubs have adopted the practice of using the property patch, even those  that are not 1% clubs.
