Nick hits his 200th episode! Yes you read that right 200 hundred episodes of Nick's Nerd News! We appreciate all of our loyal listeners. And this week, the most important thing is our review of The Batman (2022), everything else is just a toy!

Yes you read that right Nick is back in a double feature episode, featuring two weeks worth of news! Shout out to Scott for hosting last week as well. But yes you guessed it two weeks worth of news, that includes the Pokémon news, Street Fighter, Horizon Forbidden West, Peacemaker, #Bendergate and a hell of a lot more!

Well Nick takes another break, he is always taking breaks, what gives?? So Nick's Friend Scott from the 101 League steps in to fill his shoes for a quick bite. Uncharted the movie, Horizon Zero Dawn talk. And an unexpected topic on Nick's Nerd News but Scott talks about Arthur, yes that Arthur. Street Fighter 6 is in the works, and Jon Watts of the Spider-Man Home trilogy is rumored to be directing a Star Wars High Republic series. Sony PSVR 2 is finally shown off and a whole lot more.

I never thought I would say the words " a planned community brought to you by Disney" yet here we are just a few weeks into 2022. Also on the docket, Microsoft vows to change the culture at Activision, and also vows to keep CoD multiplatform. Cyberpunk 2077 finally receives its next gen updates, and becomes the game it was meant to be, a year and a half later. The Super Bowl is come and gone, and that means, trailers, trailers, trailers. Plus, The Book of Boba Fett knocks it out of the park for its season finale.

If that headline doesn't give it away, then you are listening to the wrong podcast, hehe. GTA6 is finally announced, but don't expect to hear about it again for quite some time. The Nintendo Switch is getting hit with a lot of yesterdays games, and you know what, that's ok, cause its getting some new ones too. Well Sony is laying down the gauntlet, and keeping things multiplatform? Meanwhile the NFT battle heats up among gamers, developers and publishers, Sega exits the arcade business, and Wordle goes to the NYT? Paramount+ doubles, well more like triples down on Star Trek, and Matt Reeves dishes on The Batman.

More news continues to trickle out from the Xbox & ActivisionBlizzard buyout. 343 makes due on its promises, Respawn announces three new Star Wars games, Boba Fett continues to be a boss, and Mortal Kombat 2 is on the way.

Obviously the only story that matters this week is that Real Steel is getting a Disney+ show. Im kidding its Xbox purchasing ActivisionBlizzard. That and some other stuff too, come take a listen.

The external pressure on Activision is growing, and internal pressure isn't simmering down either. Meanwhile Lucasfilm is setting its sights on the future of the franchise, and TV seems to be the path. The MCU is setting up multiple secret projects, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a sequel worth your time.

As we celebrate #HALO20 and #XBOX20 lets not forget our future. We also have more depression ActivisionBlizzard news, The Game Awards announces its nominees. Disney+ celebrates it's Disneyplusaversary, and Marvel Nukes the internet with the new Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer. Also Nick finally watched Eternals, and has some thoughts.
