On another addition of Riding the Pine presented by KTSW Sports Brenden Snow and Andrew Zimmel go over the newest topics in the Sports world and give picks for the upcoming weeks games. We start the show talking about how the Texas State Men’s Basketball team can’t seem to find their winning ways dropping another game over the weekend. It seems like the team can’t solve their biggest problem, which Brenden and I discuss. We move into Women’s Basketball and their overtime loss that snapped their four game winning streak. The Bobcats see fine, but the loss might come back and bite the team when it comes to Sun Belt Playoff seeding. Baseball and Softball are starting and Andrew and Brenden talk about what some of the goals and expectations for this team are. In the second half of the show, the pair talk about some of the NBA trades that went down and how this affects the front runners in the NBA. Odus, Brandon and Imani return for the third installment of A Community of Culture: The Black Perspective. This time around, the trio considers the influence black heritage has on the naming of children and “playing by the rules”, superficial discrimination in the workplace based on names and racial profiling and stereotyping.

Tune in to Black History Month with Odus, Imani and Brandon as they host the inaugural episode of A Community of Culture: The Black Perspective. The trio opens the four-podcast series with a discussion of black history, black hair and black music, honoring February’s annual recognition of African American culture.
