Summer is finally here and we're ready to enjoy it. The Captain and Bob talk about fire being such an important tool in wildlife management and debunk some common misconceptions. Fire, is just one of the reasons for the reemergence of the moose in northern Minnesota. The very specific dietary needs of a hunting dog. John Deveny of Delta Water Fowl calls in to talk DC’s role in wildlife, how it effects protection on farms. And Tackle is out on the water sharing his fishing knowledge.

Tackle Terry is in the boat and ready, and Bob St. Pierre calls in from the Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Rendevous 2019.

Mark Strand calls in, along with Bill Lund, to take us on very successful turkey hunt, first thing in the morning. Tom Carpenter checks in from Iowa, where he's not hunting, but looking for a good spot to do so. Tackle lets us know if there are any good spots to fish from shore anymore. Bob St. Pierre calls in from across the border in Wisconsin.

Former State DNR Commissioner, Tom Landwehr, calls in to talk keeping the Boundary Waters clean for all to continue to enjoy. Outdoor photographer and naturalist, Stan Tekiela calls in to talk this weather, where the critters are hungry. Tackle Terry Tuma calls in. Professional angler and internet sensation, Mavrik Joos, who is in town with Wambo Sports to broaden the horizons for sport fishing, joins the show.
