The Husker247 Podcast returned on NFL Draft Day and discussed the latest happenings in Nebraska football post spring session, the transfer portal, the aforementioned draft and Nebraska baseball. Things start with some early draft discussion before giving way to the portal. Any of Nebraska’s departures a surprise? Will Stephon Wynn be missed? Back on regular schedule following the spring session, Husker247 convened a podcast on Tuesday to go over the Red-White Game and to discuss the latest recruiting happenings. The podcast opens with Mike Schaefer getting thoughts from Michael Bruntz and Brian Christopherson about what stood out the most to either of them with Saturday’s scrimmage. The podcast starts with memories of spring game past and what stands out about the annual event every April. From there Mike Schaefer directs each of Michael Bruntz and Brian Christopherson to give a rundown of one side of the ball. The Husker247 Podcast returned this week and focused primarily on a pair of discussions that spanned the entire show. The first centered on Nebraska’s wide receiver room and the second was a discussion about where things sit for in-state recruiting.  Discussion about wide receivers started with Garret McGuire who spoke after Tuesday’s practice. Spring ball is back and it was the first day Matt Rhule got to bring his players onto the field and see what he actually has for the 2023 season.  That makes it a great time for Brian Christopherson and Mike Schaefer to bust out the microphones and chat about the start of the spring season, how Rhule handled the offseason and the media and much, much more.  Discussion starts with Rhule’s transparency of changes within the program.
