Grace in the Hard Places
28/06/2024 Duración: 47minOn Tuesday, we were reminded that when faced with legitimate needs, our response should be rooted in honest prayer and unwavering trust in God’s provision. 1 Corinthians 10:4 teaches us that even in our moments of desperation, God’s grace abounds. Remember, God’s love and provision are steadfast in every circumstance.

WaterProof Freedom
14/06/2024 Duración: 51minA life spent pursuing Christ is a life that is walking in freedom from our trauma, our past, and our sin. Last night, Pastor Jon continued our Waterproof series, telling the story of how God made a way for freedom for Moses and the Israelites by splitting the Red Sea later leading into the Promise Land, and escaping the pursuing Egyptians. What can we learn from this story? Maybe, for example, you’re currently living a life of singleness. The FACT that you’re single may lead you to FANTASIZE about the marriage you desire and cause you to FORGET the promises of contentment from God, leading to FEAR about never being happy or satisfied without a spouse, finally leading to the BONDAGE of sin. Facts - Fantasy - Forget - Fear - Bondage God paves the way towards true freedom through the life, death, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and a relationship with Him. We only have to realize that God is worthy of our trust. God will lead us out of captivity and into freedom!

Waterproof Your Future
06/06/2024 Duración: 47minThis Tuesday we started a new series titled: Waterproof. This week talked about trusting God with your future. Do you trust God's plan for your life? Are you doing what you can do, and then ultimately trusting God for what only He can do? We learned that there is a very real enemy who would love to undo God's plan for your life, that trusting God's plan isn't passive, but active, and that our future with God is SO much better than a future without Him. His PLANS and his PURPOSES are Waterproof! https://events.bible.com/en/event/edit/49269643 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Paradigm: Make Christ known
23/05/2024 Duración: 44minHow do we make Christ known to others? 1. Become a new creation. 2. Understand the ministry of reconciliation. 3. Representing Jesus. Last night we studied 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. To make Christ known, we must first have to be made a new creation. If you are in Christ, you have been made new, and you have a ministry that He has called you to. If you know Christ, do you know how to help others reconcile their relationship with God? The only two things that will last forever are the Word of God and the souls of men. As Christians, we are Christ’s ambassadors, representing Him and His kingdom. God has chosen and called us to deliver His message, the Gospel. This week, we challenge you to share your faith with others and make Him known.

Parad1Gm: Do You Know Christ?
17/05/2024 Duración: 46minLast night we kicked off our new, self-titled series: Parad1Gm. We want to be a ministry marked by knowing Christ and making Him known to others. Last night we looked at John 17:1-5 and learned how knowing Christ is connected with eternity. “Eternal” carries the idea of quality as well as quantity, and eternal life can start today. Only knowing God brings deep soul satisfaction, and will allow you to be immersed in eternal life. Church attendance, baptism, being a good person, and being religious are good things, but they won’t give you eternal life as only knowing Jesus can. Do you know Christ? Do you know him deeply and intimately? Reflect on these things this week, and come back next Tuesday for part 2! Have a great week, Paradigm

Numbers: Faith
25/04/2024 Duración: 50minLast night we dug into what faith really means, found in Hebrews 11. We learned that faith is obediently following God’s Word, regardless of our feelings, knowing that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Why is faith essential? It pleases God, brings salvation, and overcomes the world. To grow our faith, we’re encouraged to dive into God’s Word, share our stories boldly, and walk closely with Him every day. We all have some kind of faith. What are you putting your faith in?

Numbers: Doubt
18/04/2024 Duración: 49minTuesday night we continued our Numbers series by looking at doubt. Here are a few takeaways: 1. Doubt undermines God’s promises, and is the lack of confidence or assurance that He will keep them. 2. What is inside you will eventually come out. Let confidence, trust, and faith spill out of you instead of doubt. 3. Doubt sees obstacles. What obstacle seems so gigantic to where you’re having a hard time believing God can move in that situation? 4. Doubt is contagious. Why? It’s easy, safe, and popular. 5. Doubt leads to despair, and despair impairs your ability to make rational decisions. Desperate plans come from despairing hearts. Where are you doubting? Doubt is what separates us from our Heavenly Father. This week remember that He is in control, He loves you, and He is worthy of our trust. https://events.bible.com/en/event/edit/49245368 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Numbers: How to Speak Truth in Love
11/04/2024 Duración: 47min“Truth without love isn’t true, and love isn’t love without truth.”

Numbers: Critical Attitude
04/04/2024 Duración: 49minA critical attitude will leave you in a wilderness spiritually. Attitude — pattern of thinking developed over a period of time. Criticism is when you focus on the perceived flaw of another person without any intention to help them. Check out the layers of criticism: it’s petty, self-exalting, and sinful. Criticism is often rooted in unforgiveness, bitterness, personal failure, envy, jealousy or some resentment going on in our heart. Reflect on Miriam and Aaron’s story in Numbers 12:1-12, where criticism led to dire consequences. God takes the criticism of others personally, and He judges it accordingly. Every sin is guaranteed to come prepackaged with some consequences. Choose encouragement and humility over criticism, for when you sow something, you will reap something. Seek cleansing and forgiveness from a critical spirit to draw closer to God’s presence. We will never reach a sinless life before heaven, but God is able to cleanse us of all sin. Confess it, renounce it, and you will find mercy.

Numbers: Contentment
21/03/2024 Duración: 46minLast night in our Numbers series we looked at contentment. 1 Timothy 6:6 teaches us that godliness + contentment = great gain. Godliness, or God likeness, means to be like Jesus. Paul is teaching that we cannot live in the promised land spiritually, while living like a pagan practically. We often want the blessings of God without the obedience to God, which doesn’t work. You cannot experience the fullness of God if you are not fully submitted to God. Contentment can be defined as satisfaction with God’s sufficient provision. Contentment is often not something that comes naturally to us, but a perspective and an attitude that we must learn; contentment is a choice. The secret to gaining contentment is to be dependent on Christ’s strength, and not on our own. These two together equal great gain, but verses 9-10 and 17 show us that loving money equals great loss. So how do we choose an attitude of contentment in a sea of covetousness? Seek it. Say it. Settle it. And show it. See what the Bible says is valuable

Numbers: Cancel Coveting
13/03/2024 Duración: 50minContinuing our series in Numbers, Pastor John calls on us to reflect on our habitual covetousness, which can be described as wanting the wrong thing or wanting the right thing but for the wrong amount, at the wrong time, and for the wrong reasons. Our society conditions us to want more, and more, and more. All of the tangible goods we collect might be keeping us comfortable but they aren't necessarily blessings from God. Numbers 11:7-35 teaches that it is easy to remember the false goodness of what you once had before Christ, but those desires bring an illusion of strength, making us uncomfortable in our weakness, and drying up the strength of our souls. Like the quail, the things of our own desires will be far and hard to get, whereas like the manna, the things from God will be so clearly in front of you and serve as a reminder that He is with you. Giving into an attitude of covetousness will: 1. Compromise your calling 2. Corrupt your perspective 3. Consume you This week, take some time to reflect on

Numbers: An Attitude of Gratitude
06/03/2024 Duración: 46minSome days, weeks, months, or even years are going to be harder than the rest. Life can get real hard real quick and you can easily find yourself in the mental captivity of a complaining attitude. As Christians, we can quickly find ourselves fading from the presence of the Lord in these challenging seasons, but the key to continuing to serve the Lord with gladness is to come before Him with THANKSGIVING! If you're going through a challenging season or simply want to work on practicing an attitude of gratitude every day, Psalm 100:5 gives us three reasons we can always be thankful and grateful: 1. The Lord is GOOD! When you find yourself focusing on what you don't have, start by thanking God for what you do have. 2. His mercy is EVERLASTING! Remember, whatever is wrong won't last forever. Focus on the eternal! 3. His truth endures FOREVER! Your feelings are fickle, focus on His truth. If you never forget the goodness of His truth, you will never stop being thankful. "For the Lord is good; His mercy is everl

Numbers: Stop Complaining
28/02/2024 Duración: 38minLife is 10% what happens and 90% how you respond. Last night, we started a brand new series in Numbers! Starting in chapter 11, we dove head first into the attitude of complaining. Anything that separates us from God is a sin, and complaining your way through life is an easy way to find yourself on the path to destruction. Complaining is harmful to your relationship with God, but also to those who surround you. Looking at it from the Father’s perspective, what do we really even have to complain about? You have a Father who desires to provide for you and who has freely offered the gift of eternal life. As Christians, everything we do should glorify God and that includes our attitude toward the day. https://www.bible.com/events/49219982 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Paradigm: How Do Christians Respond to Tragedy?
21/02/2024 Duración: 40minIn a broken world we are bound to experience or be affected by tragedy. As Christians, how do we respond? We can't "decide our theology on the 10th floor of Children's mercy" or decide our theology when we are in the middle of tragedy. We have to know the character of God and inform our emotions when tragedy strikes. As Christians, we have to: 1) Cling to the person of Christ 2) Learn to share our tears with others 3) Look to the resurrection for hope https://events.bible.com/en/event/edit/49216470 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! True Wisdom
20/02/2024 Duración: 48minWe're wrapping up our 24 series by looking at what true wisdom is. James 3:13-18 shows us the difference between worldly wisdom and godly wisdom. Worldly wisdom is of the earth; bitter, self-seeking, full of envy and lies, and only results in confusion and evil. Godly wisdom is from above; pure, peaceable, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality or hypocrisy. The outcome is fruit of righteousness. To follow Jesus, we’re going to need godly wisdom. If we have gained wisdom from Him, let’s show it. https://events.bible.com/en/event/edit/49212928 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! 24: Wisdom in the Grey Areas
01/02/2024 Duración: 49minEvery wondered how to make a Biblical decision about something that isn't explicitly in the Bible? The Corinthian grid can help you filter through the thousands of decisions you make a day by applying Biblical principles. When making a decision, ask yourself these five questions: 1: Does it bring me under its power? 1 Cor 6:12 2: Does this belong in God's temple? 1 Cor 8:18-20 3: Will this confuse or tempt other people? 2 Cor 8:9, 12-13 4: Does it glorify God? 1 Cor 10:31 5: Will I be proud of this decision at the judgement seat of Christ? 1 Cor 5:9-10 https://events.bible.com/en/event/edi...
