During the Nixon years, a documentary was released that explored the topic of UFOs. Rather unusual for the time, this documentary was to have the full cooperation of all the branches of the U.S. military. In this film, there were frames allegedly taken from actual military footage of a UFO landing at an Air Force Base in New Mexico. The producers of the documentary had apparently been promised the full length of the film but the Department of Defense had suddenly and without much explanation rescinded their offer to provide this groundbreaking footage. The footage is said to have included the recording of multiple aerial UFOs and the meeting between their occupants and military officials present at the time. While a few of the locations were bars and lodges, the main focus seemed to be a number of video game arcades. Witnesses were said to have reported seeing the FBI agents flooding into these dens of digital entertainment and removing a number of arcade cabinets which they loaded onto waiting trucks and then were shipped off to undisclosed locations. Shortly before the flood of federal activity, new stories had appeared in local newspapers that focused on a number of children who were afflicted by an onset of mental and physical maladies while playing certain arcade games. Headaches, disorientation, vomiting were just some of the symptoms they were reported to have suffered. One of the classic scenes is the town’s police force chasing brilliantly lit UFOs over the interstates and backroads of the beset upon town. 11 years later would see this scenario seemingly reversed when an Australian family of 4 were reportedly pursued at speeds of up to 125 mph along a stretch of desert road by an unknown object. While Egypt is the first civilization that comes to mind when the topic of mummification is mentioned, they were far from the only culture to observe elaborate burial rites and practice the art of ritual mummification. Along the coastal regions of Southern Peru and Chile in South America archaeologists have been uncovering mummies which predate those of ancient Egypt by nearly 2000 years. Unfortunately, many of these sites fall prey to tomb robbers and bandits who raid these important cultural sites for anything of value. In 2015 a group of these individuals claimed to have stumbled onto something much more valuable than relics or jewelry. On the night of December 6th, 1978, 2 armed security guards responded to a dispatch from their supervisors to investigate a disturbance in Torriglia Village on the outskirts of Genoa, Italy. The radio operator had received a terrifying call from another guard who had been investigating an apparent break in. The guard had managed to get the words out “They aren’t men!” before his communication had devolved into unintelligible screaming. When the other two guards arrived, they found their colleague face down on the ground. As they approached his prone form, the seemingly unconscious guard leapt to his feet in alarm and leveled his firearm at his co-workers seemingly unable to recognize either. Her friend Minnie had contacted the police after Lilly had not answered her door for almost a week since she had last seen her. Police found Lilly dead and her body completely drained of blood. The police were unable to find any traces of the vital fluid around the immediate area of the body but did find a small amount on a ladle in the apartment. Dalnegorsk, a small town on the far eastern side of what was, in 1986, the former Soviet Union. Witnesses reported seeing a glowing spherical object streaking through the early evening sky and impacting a nearby hillside. Within a few days, local scientists were combing the forested area for evidence of the object that had fallen from the sky. Mantell, a Kentucky Air National Guard pilot, died in the crash of his P-51 Mustang fighter plane near Franklin, Kentucky, United States, after being sent in pursuit of an unidentified flying object.
