I recently presented a Kickstarter workshop at ConquestSAC in Sacramento. There I met Sarah Palmero who I invited to come on the show to talk about her Kickstarter project, Dragon Undone.In addition, I sat down and interviewed the mother of the designers of Pizza Theory, a recent Kickstarter success.

In the first six weeks of 2012, RPGs represented more than 1/3 of all successful Kickstarter game projects. RPGs successfully raised more than $100,000 in funding. I sit down with Peter Adkison, Owner of Gen Con and former CEO of Wizards of the Coast. Kickstarter has poured more than $2 million dollars of funding into the board game industry in the past year. Normally this would be seen as a tremendous benefit to the market, the industry, and the consumers. But there is a segment of the board game hobby that is taking the position that Kickstarter is bad for the industry.I have invited Chris Norwood, who writes at gamerchris.com, to come on the show and discuss this interesting position.
