  • 'Iron Man 3' - Suit Up and Review

    On the podcast this week Matt and Jonathan suit up (literally) to review Iron Man 3, which believe it or not is the third instalment in the Iron Man series (not including The Avengers). Matt and Jonathan discuss our thoughts on Iron Man so far and what we think of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Jonathan also reveals his opinion on the new director for the series. Getting into the film we take a look at some of Tony Stark's struggles, including dealing with his girlfriend and an ex. This leads to Jonathan asking why Matt is always talking about 'the girl next door'. We also review the villains and Matt wonders whether Michonne from The Walking Dead could have been a useful addition to the team. In What Has (Iron Man 3) Taught Us, we share what we learned about medical issues and present giving from the film. We then wrap up the podcast with our Screen Verdict rating and everyone's favourite segment Housekeeping.   • 'Oblivion' - Tom Cruise, Aliens and a Yankees Cap

    This week Screen Verdict reviews the Tom Cruise sci-fi film Oblivion. We share our thoughts on sci-fi and Jonathan suggests we review the film on the scale of 1 to Space Jam. We also take a stance on the polarising Tom Cruise, which brings up some confusing film moments for Matt. Moving onto the film we wonder why only national landmarks seem to have survived the alien invasion and discover a situation for almost guaranteed success with a lady. We also take a look at aliens, the Yankees and what attributes turn Matt on.   • 'The Walking Dead' - Season 3 Review

    (Spoilers in Podcast) This week Screen Verdict reviews the second half of the split season three of The Walking Dead. We share our thoughts on Rick and the remaining crew in the prison as well as the trouble brewing with the Governor in Woodbury. Along the way we learn if you hang around long enough, you're part of the group and who doesn't mind being compared to the Gestapo. Jonathan asks some odd questions such as: why are there so many zombies? and Matt suggests the Statue of Liberty as a good place to ride out the zombie apocalypse.   • 'Cloud Atlas' Review - 6 Stories, 2 Opinions

    This week Screen Verdict reviews Cloud Atlas, the sprawling, ambitious, epic film from the Wachowski siblings and Tom Tykwer. Matt opens the podcast by establishing etiquette for answering the phone while naked, which may be relevant for Jonathan. Moving on to why we picked this for a podcast despite our disdain for books and its lack of buzz. Jonathan shares his admiration of the Wachowski brothers and Matt reveals what he believes the film poster has in common with Gangnam style. In order to review the film we go through the 6 stories and timelines chronologically and ask the big questions such as what's under a prosthetic nose and does Jim Broadbent know what sex is?   • 'Life of Pi' - A Film Review to One Decimal Place

    This week Screen Verdict reviews Life of Pi in both 2D and 3D in order to have all our dimensions covered. Firstly we establish the difference between pi and pie and why meat pies seem to be under-utilised by countries outside Australia. Moving on to the director Ang Lee, Matt shares his thoughts on his films and Jonathan has to apologise for having skipped all of them. Getting into the film the boys discuss the interesting mix of animals with Pi on the boat and who they would like to be stranded with. When it comes to survival strategy Matt tends to agree with Pi that he's an idiot and Jonathan reveals he may starve to death based on fussy eating habits.
