"If I were only better at it, if I were only smarter, if I were only stronger in my recovery, my faith, my prayer life, my spirituality". How many times have we told ourselves that if we were only this or that we could be better, do better, live better? And what about your recovery? Do you future trip on your sobriety date, if you can make it one more day without drinking or using? • Forgiveness

    27/03/2017 Duración: 59min

Unforgiveness just imprisons you in the past, and for all the time that you go back to the past and regurgitate that unforgiving attitude, you will accumulate in your life the tragedy of anger and hostility escalated, built on, accumulated, piled up, which will rob you of the joy of living. You will go through life feeling just as bad as you do now or worse – with no relief in sight. On the other hand, forgiveness opens the door and lets the prisoner out. Forgiveness sets you free from your past. As soon as you forgive it, it’s gone, you’re free. If you insist on remembering the offense and never forgiving it, then you allow the person to go on offending you the rest of your life. And it’s your fault, not theirs. Closing Song: Forgiveness by John Bartol

This week's topic discusses "Relapse Games" Are people playing games with their lives when they dabble with addictive behavior? Is relapse a NO BIG DEAL issue? How many people relapse in their recovery process. Do we cheat people out of the truth by patting them on the butt and telling them it's OK when they relapse? What exactly is relapse anyway? Closing Song: What Faith Can Do by Kutless.

  • Right Fighting

    06/03/2017 Duración: 01h02min

How many times have we said "I have the right", or "It's my God given right?" How much time do we spend demanding our rights for this or that? Do we really have any rights at all and if we do what are they? Do we care about the rights of others or only what we want when we want it. Are we so ego driven that we step on the toes of our fellows and they retaliate? How does demanding our rights influence the recovery from addictive illness? Join us for this week's show as we discuss "RIGHT FIGHTING"

  • Failure

    27/02/2017 Duración: 57min

  • Emotional Sobriety

    20/02/2017 Duración: 55min

When we are able to be comfortable in our own skin regardless of other people's actions, we have learned the art of Emotional Sobriety. On the other hand, when we are dependent upon other people filling our expectations, that is when we are Emotionally Dependent and unable to stand on our own two feet.
