    THE TAKE 12 RECOVERY RADIO SHOWMark Elder was born in Spokane, Wa. In the early 50’s. He started playing guitar at age eleven and studied guitar under the jazz guitarist John LaChapelle in Richland, Wa. Mark started songwriting in his teens and has been writing and performing music for 45 years. In 1971 he joined the band Bordersong and in 1975 they recorded the album “Morning” in which Ann and Nancy Wilson sang background vocals on Mark’s song “It’s Time Agan”. Mark has had the pleasure of warming up for such bands as The Oakridge Boys, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks, Elvin Bishop and Commander Cody. Over the years he has had his original songs recorded by Crystal Gayle, Bordersong, and two albums with Midlyfe Crysis. To date Mark has recorded two solo albums “What A Ride” and “Just For Today A Journey In Recovery From Addiction”.
