Saving bees. The bee crisis in North America is big news in terms of food production. Our guests will be George and Christine Plews, Indianapolis lawyers who are firmly invested in bee re-population, having funded the hive at NPR HQ in Washington, DC and the upcoming hive on the WFYI green roof. They will be joined by local beekeeper and urban farmer Kate Franzman, whose business is moving bees and saving hives.

A 500 Tradition revamped. This year, the famous "Last Row Party" returns after a year on hiatus, bigger and better than ever. Our guests will be former Last Row Driver Lyn St. James, Scott Goodyear, and Steve Chassey, as well as Linda Jackson, Vice President of Development for the Indianapolis Press Club Foundation. Not only is the Last Row Party a fun roast of the final three race qualifiers, it also serves as a Press Club scholarship fundraiser.

Central Indiana Education Alliance/Education Weekend-STEAM Day. Guests Angelique Walker-Smith, Executive Director of the Church Federation of Indianapolis; and Charlotte Westerhaus Renfro, Lecturer of Management at IUPUI both sit on the executive committee off the Central Indiana Talent Alliance. The former "Talent Alliance" held a press conference last week to announce the name change, the results of this year's community report, and the major Education Weekend event coming up May 16-18.
