Women's Fund of Central Indiana launches NEXT - Jennifer Pope Baker, Executive Director of the Women's Fund of Central Indiana. NEXT:an initiative to help emerging adult women move from economic instability toward economic stability. The Women's Fund is seeking talented, visionary social service entrepreneurs to develop comprehensive solutions targeted at women ages 18 to 24.

Eli Lilly & Company leads Indianapolis businesses on Mayor Ballard's anti-crime plan commitment to funding early childhood education opportunities for low-income, at-risk preschoolers. The Indianapolis business community, led by the $2-million contribution from Lilly will raise $10-million in funding. The City-County Council vote on the plan has a hard deadline of approval on Sept 22, 2014.

On September 19, 2014 the law school's Program on Law and State Government (PLSG) will host "In Our Backyard: State Governments Respond to Sex Trafficking of Children."
