With the one season's end and another's beginning, Mary and Thomas take the time to reflect on some of the Summer's finales and choose some of their favorites for the Fall 2017 anime season. There's so much anime packed into this episode, it's hard to keep straight!

Let's play some games! And we're not just talking about Gamers. Can we describe anime series in five words or less? Will Mary get to watch the new Fastest Finger First episode? The battle is on! We talk mainstream battle manga and how the newest titles are similar and different from the legendary Big 3! Mary also talks about the Netflix Death Note movie and a new shonen favorite, the Promised Neverland. But we can't pretend our shoujo fans! A lot of great weekly anime this time around, including a surprising performance from Gamers! Speaking of surprising, we talk about some anime that really surprised us with their quality! Aaaaaaand, how can you not like Shelter by Porter Robinson?

Ahoy! We bring ye a pirate episode! But probably not in the way you expect. Yes, of course we talk about One Piece but what about anime pirating? We also fight over minute details in Koi to Uso, wrangle the more Haikyuu greatness and talk about how Boruto is pretty decent all while Thomas munches on a half eaten pizza!

KOI TO USO! Mary binges the episodes right before the pod and freaks out about the romance and drama of her favorite summer series so far. We also dig into the shortcomings of one of our favorite anime/manga of all time, Katekyo Hitman Reborn. A lot of anime gets thrown around this episode so make sure you keep up!

Everyone’s talking about it. Everyone hates it. But do we? We dive into the Death Note trailer but, more importantly, why Death Note is so damn good to begin with. We also get you thinking with some pretty intellectual titles about cultural assimilation, human sentience and…a high school quiz bowl team?

We also reveal our thoughts about the finale of Attack on Titan, Netsuke Yuujincho and get a bit of a blast from the past and remember our favorite delivery god!

In which we divulge our favorite anime of all time, talk about some great movies and music and, even though Mary might be a fan of Armin, nothing compares to the love Thomas has for the future King of the Pirates.

What's more important, characters or plot? Spoilers: for the first time on the show, we disagree. Thomas also christens the Your Lie in April Opening as fantastic and "near-flawless" even though he never finished the series. He has a lot to unload on that one. And, thanks to a fan request, Mary finally gets to rant about Boruto!
