Miguel Cabrera had three of the Tigers’ nine hits, leaving him six shy of 3,000 for his career. All of Detroit’s hits were singles. Connor Shooks- MWF Player of the Week
14/04/2022 Duración: 26minThis week’s Mid-West Family Player of the Week is Connor Shooks, a senior from Our Lady of the Lake High School. In the first golf match of the season, Connor shot a 43 at Lake Michigan Hills to earn individual medalist honors as he defeated the rest of the field by 8 strokes. In the process, Connor helped lead the Lakers to a 2nd place team finish in the BCS Conference White Division Jamboree. Last season, as a junior, Connor was co-individual medalist honors in the BCS White Division, earning him 1st Team All-Conference Honors. Off of the course, Connor is involved with the First Tee, which is a youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent values to young people, Knights of the Holy Temple, and Student Council. In the classroom, Connor carries an impressive 4.08 GPA. Though not fully decided on which university to attend next fall, Connor says that he has list narrowed down to Loyola University of Chicago, University of Notre Dame, and the University of Michigan.
