  • Episode 044 : All Fears Are Not Equal

    16/02/2017 Duración: 08min

There is one truth I’ve learned in almost 20 years of representing small business owners. The greatest obstacle to progress in starting a creative project or business venture is the fear of failure, or the fear of non-acceptance by one’s peers. There’s fear, and then there’s fear. The former is healthy, the latter is the kind that keeps you up at night, and plagues you into paralysis when you feel isolated. Here’s another truth: all fears are not equal. In this mini-episode, I’m joined by psychologist Robert Gordon, Ph.D. We’ll talk about the difference between rational and irrational fears, what fear really represents and how it can be defeated. Keep building the future, it’s closer than you think.

  • Episode 042: The Art Of Persuasion I

    02/02/2017 Duración: 07min

Today’s episode is about persuasion, and how we process the world these days. We are entering into a phase in American history that’s littered with some embarrassingly bad rhetoric, and a lot of screaming at one another, when we should all be talking to one another. How we talk to one another matters. In earlier episode we talked about the words we use and what they can mean. But today this episode is about the art of persuasion… Because it is indeed an art. Follow us on iTunes, Stitcher, Soundcloud or on the web at http://creativeconfidential.net Special thanks to Dan DeChellis for his permission to use “Never Satisfied” as the intro and outro music for this episode. http://dandechellis.com
