Whiskey Business was thrilled to have one of the best movie bloggers in the business, Marc Heuck from The Projector Has Been Drinking (and so much more. Google him) back for an overdue visit.  The evening consisted of conversations ranging from movies, their history, Quentin Tarantino, and even an emotional peeling back of HEUCK himself.  Accompanied appropriately by a bottle of Dorothy Arzner straight rye whiskey from Francis Ford Coppola (yeah, she factors into this podcast too), the night was a serendipitous evening of insight, laughter and more from one of the most delightfully eccentric, genius minds I’ve had the pleasure to call “friend.” Enjoy.  Learn more about your ad choices. Just after Easter comes a debut novel from Hope Madden that will make you think twice about the joys of Easter Sunday.  Dino, Greg and John sat down with Hope and discussed the wonderfully creepy novel. Without providing any spoilers, we got into Hope’s writing process, her frame of references and if the old adage, “write what you know” is true. Dino and the Whiskey Business boys had an amazing chat with Jeb Bigelow, who some 30 years ago started his OWN awards show, THE JEBBY’S, which has now become a staple of recognition and achievement in the Central Ohio Theater community.  Picked entirely by Jeb there is no “BEST” awards. Instead there are “FAVORITES” and what’s more amazing is how many people now want the distinction and honor of winning one.  Jeb attends between 80 to 120 theater performances a year. A full time job which he is NOT compensated for. His real job? A pharmacist. Yup. We talk about that as well in this fun and insightful installment which also included some excellent pours from a one of a kind bottle of Old Forester Single Barrel/Barrel Strength Bourbon which was a private pick for the Columbus Italian Club. After months of anticipation, what took place on a November night at Watershed Distillery along with Whiskey Business finally became a reality as Dino, Greg and John saw their Private Selection Pick of Watershed Bourbon get released into the whiskey wild.  The 4 year old single barrel, barrel strength bourbon clocked in at around 119 proof with a warm, fruity nose, spicy palette, and smooth warm finish that hugs for good long bit after making its way in.  In this video Dino talks with Watershed's Aaron and Greg on how this bottle came to be, and how YOU can get one for yourself as the quantity is limited. Whiskey Business had the pleasure of spending some time with acclaimed cartoonist and sought after story board artist, Rafael Rosado.  If animation is your thing you’ve no doubt seen his work on countless shows ranging from The Batman to Mike Tyson Mysteries on the Cartoon Network, to Curious George and The Venture Bros as Rafael has left his stamp on countless projects. He’s worked with Warner Bros, Sony, Disney and Universal (too name a few) and is also the artistic genius behind GIANTS BEWARE and it’s two sequels, which chronicle the “girl power” adventures of Claudette and her friends Gaston and Marie. This year's annual Halloween episode on Whiskey Business may just be our most unconventional holiday episode to date.
