The Luvcast series continues with a mix from one of Luv Shack Records’ most reliable and productive members: Lee Stevens. His smash hit “Ridin’ High” helped putting the label on the map and right now he’s one of the busiest producers in Vienna; as one half of the project Burnin Tears his work as a remixer is highly sought after by just about everyone who has a name in Austrias electronic music scene. To once again show his versatility, Lee Stevens offers an ecclectic mix that not only showcases recent productions on and around his home label Luv Shack Records, but also reaches out a bit further into his musical cosmos, proving that deep house and disco are merely a part of the spectrum. For our second Luvcast we’ve asked one of Vienna’s first Disco / Edits exports to grant us an insight into his current musical dwellings. His edits for the dutch Disco Devil imprint were highly sought after and got regular plays by heavy weights like Prins Thomas or Todd Terje. The two 12″s on his own label “Phönix Project” were also critically acclaimed, as was his contribution to the brilliant “Kojak Giant Sound” series. As a DJ, mikeBurns is known for his benevolent mixing skills and thoughful, vinyl heavy selection.
