Rain Man features an outstanding performance by Dustin Hoffman as Raymond - the Autistic Savant who's existence is discovered by his brother Charlie played by Tom Cruise only after their father's death. It's a road trip film, directed by Barry Levinson - and follows Cruise's characters journey of emotional pain, anger and learning to know and love his brother. Hoffman's character performance is one of the best you will see, and it's an eye opening look into his life. Trev's seen it, but doesn't remember the story, so rediscover it together with Stephen Fenech here thanks to Fetch and Hisense.

You wouldn't know it from the title, or the cover art, but October Sky is the true story of a young man and his mates in a small American Coal Mining town who attempt to build rockets. Starring a young Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Cooper, Chris Owen and Laura Dern, it's a moving story about freindships, family, work, township, and having goals. It's based on four young men who grew up in Coalwood West Virginia and were inspired to build a rocket after the Russians launched Sputnik! Trev's never seen it, nor does he have any idea what it's about. Stephen brings him - and you, on that journey

We're turning things on their head this week. Stephen Fenech, our Movie Guru gets taken on a journey to watch The Great Escape for the first time, a movie Trevor Long has rated highly for a long time. It's a true story, with some creative licence, of a P.O.W. camp in Germany built to house some of the craftiest escapees from the Allied forces. Steve McQueen is the headliner, but it's an all-star cast, Trev and Stephen walk through a range of issues raised in the movie and reflect on the time that it was shot and set.
