Halloween Time is the official start to the holiday season at the Disneyland Resort so we've done a ton of research into Disneyland's history with the holiday as well as all of the Halloween celebrations throughout all of the Disney parks. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room has delighted audiences for 55 years and we thought it'd be fun to do a little retrospective on the attraction! Join us as Robert does a deep-dive in the creation and history of the show, Inthia discusses the history of the pop-culture phenomenon that is the Dole Whip, David discusses the prolific Maynard Smith, and much more! To round out the topics discussed on the show, you can find the Pineapple Dole Whip mix to make at home here and Maynard's old site that detailed his voice over work and musical selection here. (it's no longer active online so we had to pull up this Internet Archive snapshot.) I am still looking for that old site that detailed other parks that Maynard has worked at here in Southern California. It's back! The Food & Wine festival that hasn't been at Disney California Adventure Park since 2010 has returns after DCA's long refurb has (just about) finished! Take a look through our photo gallery at some highlights of the festival and as a bonus, check out the bite-sized podcast episode below! One of the opportunities the park has to work on is supplying the demand. While the event has been absent for 6 years, public (and AP) interest seems to be at an all-time high with the Sunday crowds we saw. By 1pm, it could just as easily been called the "What's-left-of-the-Food-&-Wine Festival" because so many people were being turned away from lines up to 30 minutes long because an item had sold out (or was still being prepped in the off-site kitchens.) Still, the cast members were all very pleasant and doing the best they could to handle the crowds. We noticed MANY plain-clothed cast members (likely the higher-ups) surveying the crowd both figuratively and literal
