Our Hearts are Broken   Michael Lodge, Speaking Pastor   The wrath of God is upon us because of our sinful hearts! Not an exciting message… but something we need to hear. We can not know the good news without understanding the bad news. We can not respond to amazing grace if we don’t see how broken and undeserving we are. This passage is often used to point out other peoples sin. The Gospel Calls us to Be ALL IN   Michael Lodge, Speaking Pastor   When we read Romans through the filter of our personal salvation story we miss the point of the letter. The Gospel we find in the letter of Romans is bigger, deeper, and more powerful than just a brief outline of salvation. As Paul writes this letter he unfolds the truth that the Gospel is a timeless encounter between the God of the universe and sinful humanity that can’t help but pull the reader into the story of the transformative pursuit of the Gospel. Today we wrap up our Dwell series with Psalm 63. In this Psalm, David passionately declares his love and worship of God. David’s ability to live in this state of mind shaped everything about his life. Living in praise shaped his posture and perspective through life’s hardest circumstances. When we learn to dwell in God’s presence we begin to live the the life we were made for.

We often allow the majority of our mental space to be taken up with other voices, issues, and obsessions that lead us to distress. In Psalm 34 we find a path to walk in the goodness of who God is and allow that to lead every thought. Thoughts are powerful and lead most of our actions and interactions. What would happen if our dwelling led to more peace in His presence?
