What is it in our lives that first befriends us only to turn on us at a latter time and bite us?

As Jesus was sent by the Holy Spirit into the desert, we are sent into the desert of Lent to intensify our prayer, to sacrifice and to give alms. Let us respond to the grace of this Sacred Season.

God calls us to serve, even in our unworthiness.

We are called to let ourselves be transformed by Christ and to allow His love in us to be the root of all that we do.

Opening our hearts to Jesus can bring us joy. We can then share that joy with others.

Like the Magi, we search for the one who can meaning to our lives. The Magi lead us to the One who can fulfill our yearning. The Child of Bethlehem has arms open to receive each and every one of us.

Husband/Fathers take spiritual leadership in your family. Family prayer strengthens the family and draws the family into deeper unity.

The story of the Visitation draws upon Old Testament imagery to show Mary to be the bearer of the New Covenant be between God and the human family.

When joy is lacking, we are called to repent and confess our sins so that we can again be filled with joy

We are called to commit ourselves to a regular, faithful Stewardship of the gifts God has given us. We are to give in proportion to God's generosity to us

Our Love for God, for the Church and for others is expressed by our giving of Alms.

The King spoken of in the Book of Daniel is Jesus the Christ. He reigns through love and self-giving. He invites us to follow Him into the Kingdom and to welcome others into the Kingdom.

The Four Pillars, Hospitality, Prayer, Formation and Service are invitations to love; to love those who step into our lives, to love God, to love our Catholic faith and to love our neighbor through service.

Throughout the Gospels Jesus invites us follow Him through self-denial and sacrifice. We are motivated to do this when we come to know Jesus and to love Him.

Wisdom that comes from God is the Master Key to life. May we all yearn for that Wisdom.
