  • Episode 284: Episode #226: Snatchin' Walk-offs

    02/06/2021 Duración: 01h17min

The Giants' season took a depressing turn when they were swept at home by the Dodgers. But, being #ResilientAF, they brushed themselves off and won 6 of their next 7 games, including 3 of 4 in Dodger Stadium. That weekend was highlighted by a gut-wrenching, classic torturous Giants game as the Dodgers tied it up with a pinch-hit, 2 out, 3-run bomb to tie the game at 5. The very next batter, Albert Pujols, sent what appeared to be the walk-off blast over the left field wall until Mike Tauchman put on his cape and lept over the fence to snatch defeat out of thin air. The Giants proceeded to put a 3 spot in the 10th and held on for the win. That propelled them to 3 straight over the Dodgers. Chad and Willie talk about the last two weeks of baseball, the shift, Gausman winning NL pitcher of the month, postseason predictions, the upcoming series vs the streaking Cubs (9-1 over 10...and swept the Padres) and more.twitter.com/torturecastfacebook.com/torturecastwww.torturecast.com

  • Episode 283: Episode #225: #ResilientAF

    19/05/2021 Duración: 44min

Join us for episode #225 as we chat about the 26-16 first-place Giants as they stay hot. Yes, they should be 6-0 on this road trip, but sh$# happens. Despite having the best record in all of baseball, the Giants have still been walked off 6 times on the road. That's HALF of their 12 road losses. As Eric put it, they aren't #ResilientSF, they are #ResilientAF. We chat about the Pittsburgh and Cincinnati series, and preview the BIG series against the Dodgers this weekend. (apologies for some audio level problems, they will be fixed for the next episode). You can join us live on Facebook every Monday around noon Pacific time.www.torturecast.comtwitter.com/torturecastfacebook.com/torturecast

Join us for episode #224 as we chat about the 22-14 first-place Giants as they stay hot. And what about Buster Posey turning back the clock and hitting almost .400? We'll review the last 8 games and preview their road trip. • Episode 281: Episode #223: Alone in First!

    04/05/2021 Duración: 01h12min

Join Chad and Eric's discussion about the last week of Giants baseball and the surprising development that this team finds itself alone in first place for the first time since August 2016. Remarkable for a rag-tag team, eh? They review the series at home vs Colorado and three at San Diego. The starters continue to dominate while the hitting and bullpen still need to pick it up. But hey, we can't complain much at this point. Then there were the infamous three straight balls called strikes in the 9th in San Diego. Ump had a dinner reservation, apparently. This and more in episode 223 of the TortureCast! You can join us live on Facebook every Monday around noon Pacific time.www.twitter.com/torturecastwww.facebook.com/torturecastwww.torturecast.com

Logan Webb looked great in the series finale, and overall the pitching once again made up for the lack of offense. Also, did Madison Bumgarner pitch a no-hitter? Join us for episode #220 as Chad and Eric review the Giants series in San Diego and against Colorado and Cincinnati. We discuss the incredible timely hitting (despite being second-worst in batting average in the NL), and excellent pitching that has contributed to their scorching 8-4 start to the season. Alex Wood joined the rotation and will pitch in Miami, but that's balanced by a lat injury to Johnny Cueto in the finale of the Reds series.

  • Episode 273: Episode #215: Young Spring Power

    09/03/2021 Duración: 01h10min

The Giants have a small power surge going in their lineup this week with two bombs by young phenom Heliot Ramos and solo shots coming from six other players. Jose Alvarez also signed with the Giants this week, further bolstering their pen with yet another lefty. Eric and Chad talk about how the Giants are building their roster with depth as a strength, since they lack some of the talent that lurks on rosters in LA and San Diego. We also look at another top 5: this time our top 5 Giants pitchers in our own lifetimes. Obviously, Bum and Timmy made our lists, but perhaps we're old enough to sneak on pitchers from the 80's? Look for us to regularly record every Monday throughout the rest of the season. On the table for this episode is the top of the lineup, new pitching acquisitions Aaron Sanchez and Scott Kazmir, Belt's mysterious illness, names are being added to the Giants' home jerseys and we reminisce about our top 5 Giants' seasons of all time...that was a fun and nostalgic discussion. Look for us to regularly record every Monday throughout the rest of the season. • Episode 271: Episode #213: Football is Over! Time for Baseball!

    11/02/2021 Duración: 01h34min

Farhan Zaidi has been at it over the past four weeks, signing pitchers Alex Wood and Jake McGee and infielder Tommy LaStella, and trading pitcher Shaun Anderson to the Twins for outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr. All of these acquisitions certainly makes the Giants incrementally stronger via depth, role, and situationally. Chad and Eric discuss the impact of these moves, the possible starting rotation, where the Giants' farm system is nationally ranked, our top five Oracle Park moments, the Super Bowl and more. www.twitter.com/torturecasthttp://www.facebook.com/torturecastwww.torturecast.com
