Our Summer Game Fest faves
13/06/2025 Duración: 01h05minWhile we did want to discuss some Blizzard news this week -- including the frankly hilarious Dastardly Duos shirt bug -- the biggest news of the week was the reams of announcements and trailers that came out of Summer Game Fest. From The Outer Worlds 2 to Failbetter's next offering, the farm sim Mandrake, to Relooted, a hate letter to the British Museum, there were games on display for tons of different playstyles and genres and vibes. We ran through some of our favorite games and showcases, because man were there a lot of them to get through.Plus, paradoxically, Diablo 4 is adding the cutest baby goats we've ever seen in our lives to the game. Just roll with it and hope nothing bad happens to them. Also, there won't be an LFR in Mists of Pandaria Classic. Pride month kicks off and Heroes of the Storm turns 10
06/06/2025 Duración: 01h10minThis week our writer Nick Marino joined the lineup to talk about WoW Classic -- several iterations of it. Joyous Journeys is coming back to Cata Classic, Mists Classic is launching soon, and Season of Discovery servers will keep on truckin', even if all the Discoveries have already been Discovered. Plus, Heroes of the Storm turns 10 and there's a whole bunch of new stuff to celebrate, including a new skin. Overwatch 2 is celebrating LGBTQIA+ Pride for Pride Month. Oh, and by the way, Hearthstone announced a whole entire new expansion, it launches next week. Plus, we run down some of the Summer Games Fest events we have our eye on, and we'll talk more about our favorite reveals next week. Not only was this week busy, but next week will also be pretty jam packed. Bring it on.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. This data is collected by our podcast host, Acast, and will be used to help us improve

Mists of Pandaria Classic brings one more Classic into the WoW trenchcoat
30/05/2025 Duración: 01h41sDuring this week's Blizzard Watch Podcast, the conversation started off with WoW, specifically the upcoming Mists of Pandaria Classic, and just how many Classics there are now. Cory was our guest host, so of course they had to talk Heroes of the Storm for a little while. It's like a rule of the internet, like how you are legally obligated to repost that one video of Tom Holland doing Umbrella if you see it in the wild. Plus, there's all the upcoming stuff for the next Diablo 4season Sins of the Horadrim, like Horadric Spellcasting and Escalating Nightmares, both of which just sound like something Diablo 4 would bring to the table. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Horrific Re-Visions and (another) player housing preview
23/05/2025 Duración: 01h06minThis week's Blizzard Watch Podcast kicks off with the new hotness -- or maybe old hotness. Horrific Visions return this week in World of Warcraft. There are head enchants to collect, but no keys, which is great news for people who did these back in the day. The new player housing preview from a smattering of other content creators with an emphasis on neighborhoods has us revisiting the possibility of a player housing HOA. Plus, which Blizzard character would make the best WWE wrestler? One thing's for sure -- nobody's breaking kayfabe in this match. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Legion Remix and more wild speculation
16/05/2025 Duración: 01h05minIn this week's podcast we talked about the reveals from the WoW team that came out of PAX East. Legion Remix has us particularly excited, but nothing is as exciting as the wild speculation we can do about those upcoming quote-unquote "experimental modes." Plus, Clair Obscur's wild success -- and the wild? success that was Heroes of the Storm. And speaking of wild, we need to sit down and have a talk about Brann. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. The calculus of Diablo's seasons
09/05/2025 Duración: 01h01minThe Infinite Pirate Dragon is, of course, the top story this week on the Blizzard Watch Podcast. It comes in patch 11.1.7 as a part of Turbulent Timeways, and while we're unsure that it has anything to do with the Arathi narratively, that's what headcanon is for. Our resident Diablo expert Liz Patt joined our regular hosts Matt, Liz, and Joe to explain the mess that is the Diablo 3 seasonal rotation, and also the mess that is Diablo 4's new season and its many, many currencies. We'll wade through rivers of blood and seas of snakes, but we'll be damned if we cave to your attempt to get us to do algebra. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Truly, transmog is the endgame of all things
02/05/2025 Duración: 58minOur hosts Liz and Joe were joined by our writer Eric O'Dea to discuss all the wacky hijinks they got into this year, as they drag an orphan into havoc and harm. That's right, it's Childrens' Week in World of Warcraft! And of course the reason we'd willingly interact with children is the fact that there's transmog on the line. Transmog is also on the line in the new Trading Post for May. We got a new preview of decor for our Player Housing, which, when you think about it, is really just transmog for a house. Plus, we have a new Diablo 4 season, and a new mini-set coming up for Hearthstone, and... could those also be transmog, if you think about it? Probably not, but you can't blame us for trying. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Elder Scrolls Oblivion is just one game we wish would make a comeback
25/04/2025 Duración: 58minCory Taylor joins our usual hosts for this week's cotillion of a podcast, and the first thing on the agenda is to remind people to get their Noblegarden ducky costume! Transmog and costuming is very important to us. But, then we get into the usual topic du jour when Cory joins the crew: how Heroes of the Storm is primed for a comeback. Cory, as usual, makes a very compelling argument that Blizzard's MOBA is just sleeping on a farm upstate and is definitely making a triumphant return anytime now, for real. Plus, Overwatch 2 Stadium released and the motion sick among us are cautiously optimistic that they won't hurl. It uses a similar perspective to a zoomed out version of Elder Scrolls Oblivion, and we're just going to take a big swig of water before we read the next bullet point here...Also, Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3. No, I will not be elaborating. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. This data is collected by o

Noblegarden: taking several years to become the cutest baby ducky
18/04/2025 Duración: 01h03minPuzzling Cartel Chips and the mystery of them leads off the Blizzard Watch Podcast this week. We're not exactly sure what the deal with them is -- hence the whole "mystery" thing -- but we're looking forward to figuring it out. Noblegarden is coming up so it's time to collect some new ducks in a six year long process, and no we're not kidding. We hope you like Joe rants because there's a doozy in this week's episode (he is stanchly anti-mythic plus boss stealth buffs). Plus, the upcoming Mists of Pandaria Classic beta has us answering conclusively that yes, we are in fact the baddies. If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. WoW Classic goes from #SomeChanges to a whole new raid
11/04/2025 Duración: 01h06minPatch 11.1.5 for World of Warcraft was just announced as coming out April 22, so that leads the podcast this week — even if it may seem fast to some of our hosts. Our writer Nick Marino joined us this week because he’s our go-to staffer for WoW Classic news, and Season of Discovery phase 8 kicked off today with a whole lot of brand new content. Seems a little weird, but as long as it’s fun. Plus, despite it being April, the Diablo 4 team just put out a roadmap for 2025 which includes a ton of new content for the coming year, and a few sections just labelled “IP collabs.” Our hosts speculate that this may mean Master Chief makes an appearance, but after what we’re seeing from Fortnite, I’m hoping to get a Chappell Roan skin for my Sorceress.Oh right, the Nintendo Switch 2 release date announcement happened too.If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Warcraft Rumble is cute, and other April Fools' Day pranks
04/04/2025 Duración: 01h03minAfter a short apology for his scratchy voice, Matt leads the cohosts in discussion on a number of topics. Since Cory was the guest host this week, adorable mobile game Warcraft Rumble and its expensive Arthas bundle was a big part of the conversation. So was the April Fools' Day jokes we were treated to on that day -- some of our cast are quite anti prank, others are pro. Plus, the ZeniMax Union authorized permission for their workers to strike, and we discuss the implications for the industry at large. If you enjoy the show, please support us on Patreon, where you can get these episodes early and ad-free!If you have a few minutes, please fill out our survey to tell us what you think about the podcast. Diving into the Emerald Dream (in Hearthstone, don't get your hopes up)
28/03/2025 Duración: 01h04minHearthstone's new expansion Into the Emerald Dream was our lead story this week, as the two sides don't seem all that well balanced between good and morally gray, let's say. The team also discusses the morality of the character restores coming to OnlyFangs and other WoW Classic Hardcore players after a DDOS KOed their dreams of glory.Plus, Slay the Princess is one of several games up for a Nebula Award -- but that name has to be a typo, right? If you enjoy the show, please support us on Patreon, where you can get these episodes early and ad-free! Racing to World First in the Undermine
21/03/2025 Duración: 58minIt probably isn't a huge surprise that our hottest topic this week was the World of Warcraft player housing preview. We also discussed how the Race to World First played out, and how this Race differed from past races. Plus, WoW Classic is getting its own new content in the form of the Scarlet Enclave, which seems cool -- if a little outside the scope of what you'd think for WoW Classic. And since Cory joined us this week, we got a healthy dose of copium as always with Warcraft Rumble updates and Heroes of the Storm, uh, news.If you enjoy the show, please support us on Patreon, where you can get these episodes early and ad-free! BlizzCon bound, baby! (in 2026, anyway)
14/03/2025 Duración: 01h08minJoe started off the podcast this week eating crow as he reflected on his prior assertion that BlizzCon would never happen again. But, Blizzard announced that BlizzCon returns September 12-13 2026. He's not mad at all, just surprised -- as all our hosts were. After that, it's a little tough to focus on everything else that happened this week. The Race to World First is still on in Liberation of Undermine, Brann getting a nerf in Delves -- but, come on, BlizzCon! The chat about Diablo 4's announced difficulty boost to Torment brought us back into gory reality a bit.Plus, we discuss the BAFTAs survey on the most influential game of all time, and what our picks might be. Racing our way to Season 2 of The War Within
07/03/2025 Duración: 01h04minThis week's show started off with The War Within season 2. We discussed how we feel about Undermine now that we've had a week in the zone, though Liz noted the patch added a ton to do outside the zone, too. All the co-hosts are now on the record as emphatically pro jazz, and also pro Race to World First, which officially kicked off as the season did. Diablo events and why they're too short (maybe to even bother with them at all) were a hot topic this week, with the week-long Gilded Goblins event going on now, but blink and you've probably already missed it.Also, some of us are really pumped for the Visual Novel Fest on Steam this week. Guest host Phil Ulrich named off some of his favorites, which led Liz down a rabbit hole. Everything from Hatoful Boyfriend to Coffee Talk to Boyfriend Dungeon to Monster Prom was mentioned, and lots of other titles in between. Plus, some of us have a bone to pick with a particular BAFTA nominee short list.If you enjoy the show,

Getting ready to explore Undermine in WoW patch 11.1
28/02/2025 Duración: 55minThis week's podcast is all about the fun new stuff that just hit WoW with patch 11.1 and Undermine. The Everlasting Nogginfogger was a popular topic, as was the overall Goblin mystique -- and the IRL hot rod Blizzard made last week. We also delved into Delves, the new rares we'll be killing -- or taming! -- and the new cool campfire scenes players can select for their Warbands. We also discuss Heroes of the Storm and its influence on the rest of Blizzard's games. If you're a regular listener, you know that means Cory is guest hosting this week. He recommends Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 if you're looking to sample a game demo during Steam Next Fest, and said so three times fast, like Beetlejuice only slightly more cursed. And yes, that is a real game. Also, if you're wondering what the best soundtrack is to get your Golds on the Kalimdor Cup now that that's back, we have some ideas. Hosted on Acast. Overwatch 2's season 15 parties like it's 2019
21/02/2025 Duración: 01h01minOverwatch 2 was the game we were most excited to start discussing this week. The development team released a big showcase just ahead of season 15's release, which also contained a lot of content teasers like upcoming hero Freja for season 16 and beyond. Loot boxes? 6v6 in competitive? What year is this, 2019? Not to be left out, the Hearthstone team also released a ton of info for their next expansion, Journey into the Emerald Dream. It involves splitting the classes into a side for the Dream and a side for the corrupted Emerald Nightmare, and Matt had a little quibble about including Warriors with the likes of Warlocks and Death Knights.Plus, a little bird (Jason Schreier) told us there won't be a new Diablo 4 expansion til 2026, so we discussed how we feel about that (and weirdly... not bad?). Player Housing in WoW has no rules! (But our Neighborhood might)
14/02/2025 Duración: 01h02minMatt, Joe, and Liz were joined by Cory this week, and all four were more than ready to chat about Player Housing in WoW, which we recently got to see for the first time. There are still a lot of question marks after this first overview, but the team is excited about the information we do have, from Neighborhoods to decor (like a tower of bones, for instance!) to lack of repo men poised to take your house away if you default on your wizard mortgage. However, before anyone joins our Neighborhoods, there may be some rules to discuss (like no towers of bones, for instance!).But, in the more immediate future is patch 11.1, which is coming out February 25. The car sounds incredibly cool, but of more importance is Brann Bronzebeard's continued Delving and his dedication to fancy hats. After all, transmog is endgame, even for NPCs. There's also the potential of a Diablo roadmap, and Warcraft Rumble and Diablo Immortal both have what seem like their own neat holidays going on... for

Blizzard Watch is 10 years old!
07/02/2025 Duración: 59minLiz hosted the Blizzard Watch podcast this week, with Joe and occasional guest host Phil Ulrich, and there is so much to talk about going on all at the same time. Slap together several concurrent holidays in WoW, holidays in Diablo 4, and a battle pass for Hearthstone Battlegrounds, and everyone is just a little overwhelmed. Luckily for you, we're here to help you navigate it all. Even the upcoming content patch, with three different Goblin cartels to back. And Delve changes. And Diablo 4 changes. And then, the questions from our listeners!Yep, you can trust us. Everything under control over here. Also, which of our recurring podcast guest hosts are you rooting for in the Beyblade Arena? We also take this opportunity to reminisce a bit, since Blizzard Watch turned 10 years old this week. No, seriously. It's been a full decade since a few nutty kids decided to band together and keep bringing the news and views. We couldn't have done it, much less for as long as we have, without the support of our Patrons, our c

Respect your elders (it’s Lunar Festival time)
31/01/2025 Duración: 56minThe discussion starts with WoW news, especially the three-kids-in-a-trenchcoat that is Classic, and how it’s once again time to respect your Elders with the Lunar Festival returning this week. They turned to Diablo’s seasonal scheduling, and how it may or may not be under the influence. Who’s to judge. Then, the crew hit on Overwatch 2, and how a whole lot of the new stuff introduced this midseason banks on that “uphill both ways” style nostalgia. We’d say it was also “in the snow” but Joe rather vociferously nixed that topic during the preshow. The Q&A portion of the show was supplied mostly by staff member Cory. There’s just no denying fashion, we suppose. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
