The Lord is My Shepherd 2019.01.20
22/01/2019 Duración: 41minPastor Bruce Garner // WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES PSALM 23 MAKE? No journey through the Psalms would be very good if we did not stop in Psalm 23. “The LORD is my Shepherd,” David said. The familiar, beautiful words contain treasures and comfort that may surprise you. Come worship Sunday at 9:00a, 10:30a, or 5:30p and bring a friend!

Trusting God When Everyone Else is Out to Get You 2019.01.13
14/01/2019 Duración: 47minPastor Bruce Garner // A Song for Stressful Times Last Sunday we began a new series on the Psalms. As I explained they are a playlist for every emotion and season - songs for a life with God in every key. This Sunday, Psalm 4 presents us an evening song - a song for peace, rest and sleep - even when the world is falling apart around you. King David, with more pressure and more enemies than any of us will probably ever face, can teach us how to trust God and rest even when the whole world is against us. Have a stressed-out loved one? Bring them with you!

This Way To The Good Life 2019.01.06
07/01/2019 Duración: 46minPastor Bruce Garner // THE GOOD LIFE Everyone’s trying to live it. It’s the reason a lot of people move here (and the reason others leave). What is it, exactly? This Sunday we will begin a new series in the Psalms and the first Psalm we will explore answers that question. This recurring series will take us through every emotion and season of life: lament and mourning, fear and anger, as well as joy and celebration. I hope you’ll read Psalm 1 and invite someone to come with you this Sunday at 9:00a, 10:30a or 5:30p.

How Much Longer, God? 2018.12.30
02/01/2019 Duración: 38minPastor Bruce Garner // FEELING A LITTLE DOWN? Plenty of people are. There is often a letdown right after Christmas. That’s why this Sunday I am going to share Psalm 13 with you. In it, you can watch a man who feels that God has forgotten him work through his sorrow with brokenness, faith, and, ultimately, hope. I hope you’ll join me and come with a heart open to what God can do for you and through us in 2019!

What You Can Learn About God From a List 2018.12.16
17/12/2018 Duración: 42minPastor Bruce Garner // The last several people I’ve talked to have been under a great deal of stress. Perhaps you are, too. Consider this: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 That is the promise, and that is the reality of the birth of Jesus. We begin celebrating the arrival of the Savior this Sunday in all three services. Invite a friend. We all need to rest in the promises of our gracious, loving God.

11/12/2018 Duración: 41minPastor DJ McMoil // SUNDAY: YOUTH PASTOR CANDIDATE DJ MCMOIL! We’ve had a wonderful week getting to know Pastor DJ, his wife Kristen, and their son. DJ will be preaching in all services this Sunday. He taught our junior and senior high Bible study this Wednesday, and I’ve never heard a room so quiet and focused! I know he will be a blessing to you. Please pray for our church family and for the McMoils as we continue to seek God’s will regarding the possibility of their becoming part of our pastoral staff. I promise I’ll keep you posted. For now, just bring your kids and friends - and pray!

On Guard Against Greed 2018.12.02
03/12/2018 Duración: 48minPastor Bruce Garner // THE GRINCH, GREED AND WHY IT MATTERS His heart was two sizes too small. That’s what Dr. Seuss told us might have been the problem with the Grinch. Thankfully, it all worked out for him eventually. Not everyone is so fortunate. This Sunday, I want to tell you what Jesus said when someone tried to get Him involved in a family fight over money. The combatants had the same trouble the Grinch was having, it seems. Before it was over, Jesus laid down a big warning and an eternal incentive for all of us. I can’t wait to share it with you!

The Fear of God 2018.11.18
19/11/2018 Duración: 39minPastor Bruce Garner // FEAR GOD? It was so good to be back home with you last Sunday, CrossPoint family! This Sunday we will dive into the message I prepared before going to Israel. The teachings of Jesus are always vital, but this passage in Luke is especially important. Fear of God (and people), suffering, and sin against the Holy Spirit, all in one epic warning laced with the Lord’s love and encouragement. Make plans to be here and bring someone who needs a word from Jesus with you!

Messages 2018.11.4
13/11/2018 Duración: 44minPastor Jim Gane // If you make it about you... you lose. It’s true. If you want to be miserable, make life about yourself. Life was not meant for that. Listen to Jesus quoting Scripture: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 The Great Commandment is to LOVE GOD, and LOVE OTHERS. If you make your life about loving yourself, you’ll miss the purpose you were created by God and redeemed by the death of Jesus.

On The Scripture 2018.10.28
13/11/2018 Duración: 41minNathan Wilson // THE PURPOSE OF SCRIPTURE SUNDAY, we encounter the authority and purpose of the Bible. A wise person said, “You can read the Bible without becoming spiritually mature, but you can’t become spiritually mature without reading the Bible.” I hope you’ll be here Sunday at 9:00a, 10:30a or 5:30p to take your next step in growth with God.

Guard Your Heart 2018.10.14
15/10/2018 Duración: 57minPastor Bruce Garner // GUARD YOUR HEART You just get one heart. One life. One YOU. And you live in a world that is both corrupt and corrupting. The Internet is a massive disruptive force, and along with the good has come a torrent of evil. How do you guard your heart in this environment? How do you stay responsive and loving toward God and other people?

The Inside Matters More Than The Outside 2018.10.07
08/10/2018 Duración: 37minPastor Bruce Garner // JESUS, THE TRUTH- TELLER There is a caricature of Jesus in popular culture that He was a meek, mild-mannered man who never said a harsh word to anyone. It’s nonsense. Jesus is far, far better than that! This Sunday, we will hear Him raise His voice against a spiritual infection that threatens everyone of us. Left unchecked, it will kill us and our culture. The good news is that Jesus knows EXACTLY what to do about it! Let’s worship together this Lord’s Day. Bring a friend!

Jesus Is Greater 2018.09.30
01/10/2018 Duración: 47minPastor Bruce Garner // JUST FOLLOW YOUR HEART? Movies, memes, and advice over coffee all say the same thing. Just follow your heart! Ever wonder what Jesus would say about that? As we continue to walk with Him through Luke, we come to some of His most unusual teaching and get a direct answer to the question. Come worship with us this Sunday (9:00a, 10:30a or 5:30p) and invite a friend! I promise we’ll all be better off for it!

Jesus At War 2018.09.16
17/09/2018 Duración: 44minPastor Bruce Garner // JESUS AT WAR As we continue to follow Jesus through Luke’s gospel, we come this Sunday to one of the most spectacular, conflict-filled, supernatural passages in the gospels. Come worship and see Jesus go to war. It’s incredible, and it has a direct application to each one of us today.
