08/03/2025 Duración: 31minBam Adebayo missed what would have been a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, and the Heat went scoreless on 4 straight late possessions in a gut-wrenching 106-104 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The loss was the 3rd in 4 games when the Heat had the lead in the 4th quarter against 3 of the NBA’s best teams- the Knicks, Cavs and Wolves. Miami is now 4 games under .509 for the 3rd time this season. The Heat went on a 20-7 run to close the first half, then later ripped off a 19-4 run in just over 3:00 of the 3rd quarter, at one scoring 8 points in just :49 of action. But they weren’t able to do it late when they needed it to close the game. Bam led Miami with 29 points and 13 rebounds, as he continues playing his best hoops of the season. Tyler Herro- back from a brief illness that kept him out Wednesday at Cleveland- added 22 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Bam Adebayo played his best and most inspired game of the season for Miami, scoring 34 points, grabbing 12 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. But it wasn’t enough for the Heat, who were missing 5 key players including leading scorer Tyler Herro. Miami led 107-106 with 2:55 left. They wouldn’t score again. Duncan Robinson’s would-be game-tying 3-pointer with :17 left was waved off because he stepped out of bounds after catching the perfect cross court inbounds pass from . 03/03/2025 Duración: 45minThe Heat blew a 19-point 3rd quarter lead to the New York Knicks, falling 116-112 in overtime at home. Up by four points with a minute remaining in the game, the Heat allowed the Knicks to score four straight to force OT on OG Anunoby’s tip-in and Derek Brunson’s jumper. The Heat scored 62 points in the first half before the Knicks cranked up the defensive intensity and held them to just 50 points in the 2nd half and OT. Brunson scored 31 points after being held to just 5 in the 1st half. Anunoby added 23 points and Karl Anthony Towns had 19 points and 16 rebounds for the Knicks, who are now 5-0 in overtime and have won three straight. Brunson’s 3-pointer with 2:27 remaining in overtime 7-0 started a 7-0 run that put New York ahead for good at 111-110.
