Tom, Scott, Walt & Dan are all back in the barn for Volume 4 Chapter 29 of the Necrcasticon! Our favorite duos in metal and horror be it writing teams, albums, singer/guitarist combos, books or movies, we'll talk about some of our favorite two-fors! Plus we have the Elvira, Mistress of the Dark panel from Spooky Empire, back in October!

The guys remember Stan Lee and Dan gets all choked up, Walt is all about the new Nita Strauss album, Scott is loving the Walking Dead's new direction and Tom moderates the Horror Writer's panel at ScareACon 2018 featuring horror historian David J. Skal, Amy Baker and Dan Walters.

Necrocasticon Volume 4 chapter 27 delivers with a fall basket of horror & metal goodies! Mr. Scott went to see Cannibal Corpse - Sgt Dan took on the latest from Uncorked Entertainment, Scarecrows - Walt saw Death By Metal and remembers Chuck's legacy - Tom saw Overlord and it blew him away. Plus we talk to the director and co-writer of Scarecrows, Stu Stone!

Volume 4 Chapter 26 of the Necrocasticon... where we blend horror and metal with a common connection! Tom and Dan are in charge this week, mostly. We're giving Mr. Scott the week off, but Walt joins Tom and our friend Rich from 3 Fat Nerds for OUR FAVORITE HORROR Panel from ScareACon 2018. Dan gets uncorked, once again, and reviews KRAMPUS ORIGINS In wrestler vs. a B-Movie. Tom revisited Stephen King's novel, Pet Semetary, and he'll tell you if stands the test of time, Dan went to Metallica and American Horror Story is just killing it this season! PLUS: NO WALKING DEAD SPOILERS, please!

We wish you all a Happy Halloween week here at the Necrocasticon! Mr. Scott and Sgt. Dan are in the drivers seat again, taking us on a trip through metal and horror history, and dishing out our Halloween week picks for #HeavyMetalHorrorween. Then, Tom and Walt give us a preview of their coverage of ScareACon. In the coming weeks we'll be bringing you some of the panels they were a part of, from the largest horror convention in Upstate New York. Plus we've got a few Halloween treats for you, our listeners. Nothing says metal & horror more than a WOLF HOWL! Tom took a trip to Wolf Mountain in Smyrna NY and recorded a portion of caretaker Will Pryor's educational talk on the wolves in their reserve. And that's not all. At Authorcon and Parahorror Fest, Tom read his short flash piece, YOUR LAST ROSE for the attendees, and we're giving it to you this week! It's a creepy reading you don't want to miss, just in time for Halloween.

Volume 4 Chapter 24 of the Necrocasticon asks “Where's Walter?” and welcomes Scare-A-Con show runner JV Johnson on to talk about overcoming adversity when putting on a convention. But that's not all. A couple weeks ago Tom got to moderate a Q&A panel with horror legend Don Coscarelli, and we'll have it here for you in its entirety! Plus... Tom and Dan's spoilerific review of the new HALLOWEEN and Scott takes us on a ride through metal and horror history.

Tom and Walt go to Authorcon & Parahorror Fest with plenty of shenanigans to partake in! Tom moderates a panel with Dawn of the Dead's Helicopter Zombie, Jim Krut, and author/actress/director Loren Molloy. Scott and Dan hold down the fort in the studio with this week in metal & horror history, plus our #HeavyMetalHorrorween picks!

It's a very special chapter of The Necrocasticon this week as we welcome back one of the grandfathers of splatterpunk and extreme horror, Craig Spector. Craig has been battling stage 4 prostate cancer the past couple years, and has found music to be his best therapy. It's a different Necrocasticon than you're used to, peeps & perps, as we let Craig take the stand and tell the story of his musical career, his new CD Outposts... and about his horrifying battle with cancer. Plus, Scott and Walt don't interfere as Sgt Dan goes heel on Tom over this week's Wrestler Vs. B-Movie review for CAMP DEATH III (in 2D)! Volume 4 Chapter 21 looks for our missing Sgt Dan, forcing Tom and Walt to review HELL FEST and MANDY. We wish happy birthday to Blue Oyster Cult's biggest record and few other things as Scott delves into This Week in Horror & Metal History. Also, Machine Head asks, “What do you do when half the band quits?” Plus we kick off #HeavyMetalHorrorween with the first of our holiday horror/metal crossovers.

Volume 4 Chapter 20 gets a little smokey (we're talking about Walt's Smoker here, right?) as we present our favorite trilogies in metal, print and screen. Plus Tom interviews writer-director-producer Megan Freels Johnston about her female driven horror films, being a role model for young women and her interesting pedigree. But that's not all, oh no. Sgt Dan brings us his best Films of Fury review EVER for the new film DEATH KISS, and Mr. Scott takes us on a trip through metal and horror history.

Sgt. Dan leaves no man behind and finds our lost co-host, Tom Clark at a... Kid Rock concert? Where are Scott and Walt this week to stop these shenanigans? Tom goes to the Night of Living Dead's 50th anniversary screening at LIVING DEAD FEST, and he interviews author Christa Carmen about her new short story collection, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING BLOOD-SOAKED. Sgt Dan reviews the new movie E-DEMON, & our buddy Jerret Perkins calls us to talk about The PREDATOR. It's a jam packed episode for your horror and metal pleasure!

Volume 4 Chapter 14 of The Necrocasticon is all about franchise killing! What movies ruined it for their respective franchises? Scott, Walt and Sgt. Dan will let you know! Plus we'll dip into the band members who didn't work out! Be it the Scream era of Motley Crue, or that Van Halen album with the dude from Extreme, there have been plenty of line-up blunders in metal's history.

Welcome to Volume 4 Chapter 17 of The Necrocasticon! This week Tom interviews authors Patrick Lacey and Matt Hayward, who come on to plug their collaboration, The Practitioners. Plus, Tom goes kicks a bucket list item off when he goes to Ozzy and Mr. Scott puts Sgt Dan and Smoking Walt in the DeGorian for some horror & metal history.

Volume 4 Chapter 16 of The Necrocasticon goes to The Basement... as Sgt Dan reviews the newest horror film from Uncorked Entertainment. Plus we talk to Brian M. Conley, co-writer/director/producer of the film some are calling Split meets SAW. All this and Scott, Walt, Tom and Dan talk about their favorite eras in Ozzy's career!

Volume 4 Chapter 15 of the Necrocasticon returns to welcome our new permanent panelist! Dan Roberts joins Tom, Scott & Walt to fill a gap that needed filling. But it's bittersweet as we remember Jill Janus. The Huntress front-woman took her own life last week, and we honor her memory in the best way we can, with horns held high. Plus Tom got to talk to editor D Alexander Ward, the man behind the new anthology from Crystal Lake Publishing, LOST HIGHWAYS: Dark Fictions From the Road. We also review The Meg, Sgt Fury takes on 3: An Eye For An Eye and we remember Blade's debut as the first R Rated Marvel movie, and wish happy birthday to Dimebag Darrell!

The Necrocasticon goes on the road this week with highlights from two of the hottest metal tours traveling across the nation. Tom went to see Black Label Society, Corrosion of Conformity and EYEHATEGOD in Syracuse, plus he got to talk to vocalist Mike IX and drummer Aaron Hill from the band! But that's not all! Scott, Walt and Sgt. Dan went to see Slayer, Testament, Anthrax and Lamb of God in Albany, NY! All this and the Pillars of Fury, Sgt Dan & Casey, review the Portuguese serial killer film, The Forest of Lost Souls!

Volume 4 Chapter 13 of the Necrocasticon comes to you live from Scares That Care 2018! We have a special panel for you featuring Tom & Liz with Mike Duke and Lucas Milliron... and an appearance by our movie reviewer, Skip Novak. We talk about the root notes of American horror – The House of Seven Gables, An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, Edgar Alan Poe and more.

We get freaky as we cross over with our sister podcast, You've Got To Be Kidding and tell you about our favorite scary conspiracy theories in horror and metal. Skip Novak, Tom's co-host from You've Got To Be Kidding, reviews a documentary, CALLING ALL EARTHLINGS. As a bonus, Skip and Tom talk to the director, Jonathan Berman! Known as the Landers, they are very reminiscent of the UFO Cult in The Endless! Plus Scott takes us on a trip back in time to remember the Lost Boys, we celebrate James Hetfield's birthday and Liz pops in to give us a double shot of the Video Nasties.

Plus we get into San Diego Comic Con as our very own Head Hauntress, Liz was at the Mecca of Conventions and the Pillars of Fury join us to talk about their favorite movie trailers debuting at SDCC. But the James Gunn controversy has cast a shadow over the weekend, and its presence is felt throughout this chapter. Finally, we remember Kill 'Em All's release and an infamous entry into the Friday the 13th lexicon in This Week in Metal & Horror History.
