In the past, we’ve probably understood love in a certain way, but in this teaching Rabbi Berkson explores the different facets of love as spoken of in our scriptures. How does the English translation of the Bible do us a disservice in using the word ‘love’?How can we understand what is said in the New Testament?Going first to Matthew chapter 22, Rabbi Berkson show us how Yeshua brought out the two main relationships, us and the Creator and us with each other, and then connects the present to the past with the two great commands. Those who teach that the Law/Torah is done away with lack something that would allow them to carry out the two great commands – what is it?This teaching series will be packed full of vital inform

22/07/2020 Duración: 01h04minIn Proverbs chapter 3 King Solomon is writing to his children to “bind his Torah around their neck.” What does it mean to bind something around your neck? How do you “write” something on your heart? It seems that Solomon is instructing us to do things, but hasn’t it “all been done for us”? What are the three things Torah does for us? Rabbi Steve Berkson begins this final episode of this series by expounding on what pursuing the Torah of Yahweh can do to bring peace into your life. Then moving into Jeremiah chapter 23 Rabbi Berkson ties it to Proverbs chapter 3 and on the responsibility of being a proper anointed/appointed teacher of the scriptures. How is Yahweh going to fix the problem of inadequate and problematic teachers? Peace in a World Not His - Part 11
15/07/2020 Duración: 01h05minDealing with the idea of “Waiting, Seeking, and Being strong”, Rabbi Steve Berkson takes us to Isaiah chapter 51 in order to get a glimpse of what “His world” will look like. For one thing, “His world” is going to have in it those who “pursue righteousness”. (vs 1) For another thing, “His world” will be filled with the Light of His Torah. (vs 4) In order for us to make it into “His world” we must have an expectancy, a hope of all that Yah has promised to those who are His.Then moving into the Psalms Rabbi Berkson shows us the one verse that could solve all of our problems with fear and anxiety. From the Psalms we go to Jeremiah chapter 30 and learn a little about the two houses, Judah and Israel, and that the doctrine of Replacement Theology has no standing in scripture.Guard. Walk. Do. Sounds like covenant again, right? Rabbi Berkson takes us to Leviticus chapter 26 and shows us by the words of the Creator the promise of peace that will be in His world. Then on to the prophet Micah chapter 4 as Yahweh says His

Peace in a World Not His - Part 9
01/07/2020 Duración: 01h05minDoes “all” always mean “all”? What is the default reaction to being afraid of something? What intimidates you?Beginning this teaching in Numbers/Bemidbar chapter 14, Rabbi Steve Berkson explains some of the aspects of human behavior when confronted with the unknown or the perception of something terrifying. This is the event of the leaders of Israel going in and spying out the promised land and then the slanderous report brought back by ten of those leaders. From there Rabbi Berkson goes to Romans chapter 8 to help us understand the meaning of the difference between the Spirit and flesh, and the law of sin and death. Without this understanding the chapter will be interpreted incorrectly.Welcome to another life-changing teaching series from Rabbi Steve Berkson and MTOI.Don't miss out on new teachings every week. Peace in a World Not His - Part 8
24/06/2020 Duración: 01h07minIn this teaching Rabbi Steve Berkson starts in Deuteronomy 20 to look at how being afraid and having peace do not go together. How do we today “do battle” with others? What’s the “fear factor” in those situations? When the situation feels overwhelming, what do you do? How does leadership fit into the picture? Then moving into Numbers chapters 13 and 14 Rabbi Berkson shows us how fear is contagious and that there was a failure of leadership when Israel went to spy out the promised land. Why did they have to “spy out” the land? Are you afraid of change? Rabbi Berkson gets into a bit of life-coaching about jobs or careers and how the fear of change can seep into your walking with Yah.From there, Rabbi Berkson moves into the issue of “evil speaking”, in the Hebrew “Lashon hara”, literally, “evil tongue”. He relates from the perspective of his organization MTOI and the things that people have said against him and MTOI. He shares some behind-the-scenes details of what others have said with the intention of influencin

Peace in a World Not His - Part 7
17/06/2020 Duración: 01h08minWhat are you afraid of? Is being afraid wreaking havoc with your peace? As he takes us to Exodus 14:1-15, Rabbi Steve Berkson breaks down the story of the Israelites leaving Egypt defiantly, but when they come to the water’s edge they become afraid. The water is in front of them, mountains are on each side and Pharaoh with his army is behind them trapping them. Moses then says, “Do not be afraid.”What can you do when you feel overwhelmed by the things that life will throw at you? Rabbi Berkson breaks down Deuteronomy 7:17-23 to help you understand that your being overwhelmed is an opportunity to exercise your belief/emunah in Him and experience deliverance and peace. Then moving on from there, Rabbi Berkson takes us to Deuteronomy 18:13-22 where we see instruction being given to Israel for dealing with leadership, namely prophets. The first thing this passage instructs is to ‘have integrity’. Respect the anointed/appointed leadership that you have placed yourself under. But when someone presents themselves as

10/06/2020 Duración: 01h06minOf what importance to you is the title that someone has? Do some claim authority on their own and title themselves? If it is your responsibility to find a teacher/mentor, how do you do that? What’s the process of vetting someone to be that to you?How does ‘worry’ relate to Yahweh’s vertical authority structure? What does it mean to “be sober and watch”?Wrapping up the topic of ‘worry’, Rabbi Steve Berkson reveals the answers to the above questions by taking us to 1 Peter chapter 5.The next enemy of peace is ‘doubt’ and Rabbi Berkson breaks down the event in Matthew 14:22 – Yeshua walking on the water. What happens to peace in a state of being ‘double-minded’?Then, going all the way back to the beginning, Rabbi Berkson has us look at Genesis chapter 3 where we see the event of Adam and Eve, the “snake” and the forbidden fruit and how that event thrust all of mankind into a “World Not His.”Welcome to another life-changing teaching series from Rabbi Steve Berkson and MTOI.Don't miss out on new teachings every wee

Peace in a World Not His - Part 5
03/06/2020 Duración: 01h01minWhat is the source of our peace? Messiah Yeshua said, “My peace I leave with you, not as the world gives I leave with you.” If He is the word (John 1:14) then it’s the Word of Elohim that brings peace to us. What can cause the Word to not take root in the soil of our lives and block the peace that it could bring?Starting this teaching in Matthew 13:18, Rabbi Steve Berkson breaks down Yeshua’s parable of the Sower and the Seed to show something about worry that may have slipped by many of us.From there Rabbi Berkson goes to Philippians 4:4-9, a well-known verse and a favorite of many, to elaborate on some encouragement from the apostle Paul to his students and assembly as he says, “Do not worry at all.” Then he gives a process for how that is possible.Welcome to another life-changing teaching series from Rabbi Steve Berkson and MTOI.Don't miss out on new teachings every week.
