Today we are joined with Emmy nominated filmmaker and Canadian Olympian Phyllis Ellis. Her latest documentary Category: Woman sheds some light on some horrifying crimes against humanity that are currently happening to women athletes around the world. From wrongful gender testing, insane surgical procedures based on false science, and straight up sexism/racism by athletic commissions towards women who naturally produce high levels testosterone. A lot of things that are showcased in this documentary would make you think this is something that took place in the 50's or 60's but all of this is happening today. This film and chat was an eye opening experience and we only hope that it gets the proper reach to gain awareness and cause some needed change.

Today on The Creative Imbalance we are joined with filmmaker Kyra Elise Gardner who is the daughter of the legendary Tony Gardner (Who is the lead puppeteer of the Child's Play movie franchise). Kyra's latest documentary "Living With Chucky" chronologically goes through each film in the series while talking with the cast and production crew about their memories. The most fascinating thing about the Child's Play franchise is that every iteration of Chucky over the span of the last 30 years has been made by the same people and unexpectedly turns this horror documentary into a heartwarming story about family and friendship.

Today on the show we are joined with singer/songwriter Delyn Grey. We were first introduced to Delyn by seeing her on a night of live music where all of the artists were individually picked by the legendary Bif Naked. She absolutely blew us away by her infectious stage presence and musical style that replicates the spirit of iconic hard rock acts of the past. In this conversation we hear about her latest single "Head To The Sky", talk about learning to let go as a performer and to "Not Give a F**k!", and how such a young lady was inspired to tap into this throwback style of 90's rock/grunge with a modern twist.

Today we are joined with director/actor Brian Vincent who is the creator of a new documentary titled "Make Me Famous" that showcased the gritty, glamorous, punk rock natured art scene of the lower East Side of New York City in the 1980's. The film itself also showcases the work and struggles of a rebellious underground artist named Edward Brezinski who disappeared and was speculated to faking his own death. Brain and his crew solve the mystery while making this doc, while also telling an inspiring tale of a group of lower class creatives shaping history in the art world. This film and interview is a must watch/listen to anyone who is currently pursuing their passions.

Today we are joined again with our favourite Irish Canadian singer/songwriter 0Stella to hear all about the insane tour she did across Canada ON A FRICKEN BICYCLE! This is a journey of injuries, bears, armed gunmen, escaped bulls, lightning storms, keg parties, and absolute perseverance. 0Stella also leaves us with the message "If you listen to the universe, it will give you answers".

Today on the show we are joined with multi Juno award nominated producer Fresh Kils. What separates Kils from your average producer is his mind blowing live sets that takes the audience on a fricken ride. He is a true pioneer of Canadian Hip Hop while also incorporating things like Led Zeppelin, Tenacious D, Transformers, The Price Is Right, Muhammed Ali, and many other music/pop culture treasures into his act.
